Visual Studio 2010 and MSDN Library?

Question

So I downloaded the Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate ISO from MSDN as I did for 2005 and 2008 and installed it all fine but there is no included MSDN Library. It appears that the installable MSDN Library option has been replaced by some (even ****tier) web browser based help system which you have to download and install manually?!

Is there not an installer for these new "help packages"? I can't find much information on what the state of the MSDN Library is when working with 2010 which is a shame.

The entire updated MSDN Library is available online, which is where most people access it. The Visual Studio DVD does contain a "ProductDocumentation" folder that weighs in at over 1 GB, so I assume that's the local setup location. In Visual Studio, under the Help menu, go to "Manage Help Settings" and then "Install content from disk." Point it to the HelpContentSetup.msha file in your ProductDocumentation folder.

i'm pretty sure they have taken it out because no one ever really used it (except you it seems) :p

the fact that it was online anyway made the on disc version kinda redundant.. who goes straight to help anyway? first thing you do is go to google! :D

so, um... tough :)

Did you read any of my post? The documentation is available right on the install disk.

I reinstalled vs2010 and saw the Install Documentation button and everything went fine from there. It is just different to how it has been in the past. also as it is web based it looks kinda **** in Firefox and only really works properly in IE :(
