Updated to beta 2, still ugly then. I'll likely head back to IE when IE9 is out.

One really annoying issue I have is that sometimes when I am posting, browsing Neowin, the Leaderboard ad (the one in the header of Neowin) sometimes loads in a blank page, so I have to press back.

I have AdBlock installed, but Neowin is obviously white-listed, and funnily enough I haven't experienced the same problem on other whitelisted sites.

This only happens in the beta versions of Firefox (not the proper 3.x release).

I'm having a strange problem. The Hotmail website is being displayed in Tahoma font instead of the usual Segoe UI on Windows 7. This problem is not present in IE8 and Chrome. Is this a bug?

Private browsing is still in there. But you need to use "Alt" to get the menu to find the option. The Firefox button has hardly any options in atm.

It looks like a stylish script or modified userChrome.css has created some unnecessary padding.

It doesn't look like anything like what it will look like by RTM, its slowly getting there but yeh still miles off.

I have the exact same problem on Neowin. I've got adblock installed too and Neowin is also white-listed. Haven't noticed it occurring on any other sites.

hmmm might be it... I don't have stylish or greasemonkey active anymore but I have in the past... I don't have a custom userchrome set, I'll create a temp profile and see how I get on, thanks.

Edit: Nope... a new profile results in the same UI error >.<

if you have a custom windows theme set its possible that that is causing the issue (just a thought)

The sidebar has a bug in this version, 99% of the time it's all blurry on both my computers as if the screen isn't in its native resolution.

Same problem here, but I have no extensions installed whatsoever. Never happened in 3.5 either for me, so it must be something in the beta.

<Ctrl-shift-P> is the shortcut. You don't need a menu :)

I usually have 15-20 tabs open all the time... I like the fact that when I shutdown Firefox and restart, all tabs are back.

Hopefully the transition from 3.6.8 to 4 will keep all my tabs (but just in cas I guess I should take a screen shot).

aha! That's it. Whist I don't have a custom theme set, I do turn off border padding under "Window color and appearance" I personally prefer to not have horrible big borders around my Aero windows :p When I set it back to the default (4) I don't get this

It's a problem due to the interaction between some of the AD scripts and the HTML5 parser, every so often the ad scripts will overwrite the entire page content with their code.

At least I think that's what you're describing :laugh: I'm seeing an issue with the ads because of that, but it might be different.

Anyone else have Beta 2 seem sluggish? The back button etc. just seem like their slow in reaction. Firefox 3.6.8 seems like it's faster reacting atm.

What was the original release date? How do you know it's slipped?

Good to know. I'm still experiencing it but at least now I know there's no need to start seeing if an extension is causing it.

According to this page, the beta 3 release date is still August 6th, but on that other page, the date changed to the 20th.
