Well.. improved as in make it look nice, most of the time it looks just awful.

Well, it's subjective, since other people (myself included) thinks it looks pretty good.

I think the rendering of light on dark text is getting changed though, since MS got "complaints" about it with the IE9 preview.

Yea, looking at it again it's perhaps not as bad as I make out, but some time it can look awful. Like on Steam the letters just look all crippled.

I finally updated Firefox on my MBP from the 3.6 builds to 4b2. It's amazing how less demanding the program is. I went from having one tab open and it draining half my battery in 35 mins, to having 20 tabs open and it only draining 20% of my battery in 40 mins. I wish I had updated earlier.

I'm also still using all of my add-ons too. :)

is Flash Player not working in todays nightly?

if I go to pages with flash on, no flash object loads at all.

EDIT: must be just ustream videos.

seems something is amiss though, If I type a domain say http://ustream.tv I get "Moved Permanently, Document Moved Here" but if I type the url with www. infront it works, this happens with *almost* all domains.

I just looked on the Mozilla forums and the bug is https://www.mozdev.o...ug.cgi?id=23092

if you have Adblock Plus, disable it for now. I think NoScript is also another cause for similar problems, so if you have that, disable it.

Hopefully there will be a fix soon :)

there is a fix for ABP you can add yourself.

go to:

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER_NAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\PROFILE_NAME_RANDOM\extensions\{d10d0bf8-f5b5-c8b4-a8b2-2b9879e08c5d}\modules

open:

ContentPolicy.jsm

find:

// nsIChannelEventSink interface implementation

//

add after:

asyncOnChannelRedirect: function(oldChan, newChan, flags, redirectCallback) {

this.onChannelRedirect(oldChan, newChan, flags);

redirectCallback.onRedirectVerifyCallback(0);

},

all should be working after.

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.

A major compiler is used for both x86/x64 and WoA64 architectures. This also means that all core libraries are re-compiled accordingly which required some changes in the build scripts. One of the core libraries (cURL) has been updated to address vulnerabilities and a nasty linker error that was causing the need for a dedicated patch which could now be eliminated.
