No, because Mystique is >100 years old. She's had 2 children; Graydon Creed (a normal by Sabertooth) and Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler (by Azazel), and she raised Anna

Marie/Rogue for >10 years after she left home.

What is somewhat accurate is that at one point she worked with Professor X; she as an undercover operative and even joined the X-Men for a while - but that came later, not earlier.

I read all about the cameos and they sounded cool

Was really disappointed actually. It was a good movie, do not get me wrong, but it was not a great movie as I expected it to be. It was definitely to long as well. Like could have trimmed 30 minutes no problem.

Just expected more. It is the 2nd best of the series still IMO.

Saw this a couple of days ago, it was brilliant. Definitely the best X-Men film out of the four.

I enjoyed it. It did have lots of explosions and special effects. I don't know the comic books, so whatever they changed in the film was fine with me. :cool:

You do realize that in the comics Civil War and Dark Phoenix Saga and other arcs many of those characters did die or lose their powere? Jean Grey included.

I felt like First Class was far better than the original trilogy. I felt like the acting was superior, the characters had much more depth and the story-line was fantastic. There were a couple of stupid parts that I could have done with out. Specifically Banshee and the chick with the dragonfly wings could have been completely left out.

Banshee was critical at the end vs. the sub and Angel as his opponent.

Both should figure in sequels too; Angel/Tempest's relationships with Beak and Emma Frost & Banshee being Moira MacTaggert's lover.

I loved the first half of the movie as the "Prof X and Magneto" story. I hated the last half of the movie as the "tween X-men" movie
