What Antivirus is the best for Win2003 Server?

Recommended Posts

Which is the best antivirus for Windows 2003 Server. I know 2004 beta NAV (norton) cant install on server though it looks like the best!

And NAV 2003 doesnt work on servers either. Theres NAV 8.0 corporate/server but that doesnt protect yours emails. Does McAfee work on 2003 server?

Which are the BEST antivirus softwares for Windows 2003...I need to know so I can get it (purchase/download trial) for my Server.

PLEASE HELP!

best AV for 2003 or xp is Kaspersky AV, hands down

If you want to run it on 2k3, you'll need to get the server edition

I've thoroughly tested multiple AV's including McAfee, NAV, F-Secure, and Kaspersky, and they all had some kind of problem except for KAV

Mcafee - AV engine sucks, horribly

NAV - a 2 year old could use this, but when it comes to solving software problems/configuring, forget it

F-Secure - Great AV detection -- after the virus is executed

KAV - best AV DB I've ever seen, quite reliable, and resource efficient

The easiest way to do it is using TweakNT but that makes ur computer think its windows xp....so that really isnt installing

    • Remarkably based article from Garter - apparently there IS someone working there that actually understands mainframe systems.
