New red shirt stains clothes...

Recommended Posts

i just came back from camp today, and they gave me a red camp shirt. So i threw it in the laundry, with all my other clothes. When the laundry finished, all my white shirts were stained, my blue plaid shirt was fairly stained on the side, my other gray shirt was stained, and my grayish "kiks" shorts where stained so much that it looked like blood. My question: is there a way to get rid of the stain?

oh darn.. :( well, im going to try and soak them in clorox bleach over nite. And ill see if they are least have an improvement...

DO NOT soak your clothes in bleach! You'll ruin them.

I think your clothes are pretty much ruined. You need to learn to separate your colors from the whites and warm/hot from cold when you do laundry. I've found it's also a good idea to just wash the reds by themselves.

Anything you run through the dryer will set like that.

Do not soak in a bleach mix--it'll ruin stuff. Try soaking in Clorox 2 instead, and try washing the whites with bleach. Might need to do it multiple times. Too much bleach will just eat holes in things.

In general though, bad idea to mix lights/whites with colors, especially reds, especially new things.

well for future reference...if u one day end up mixing whites w/ colors u could wash both easily as long as you wash them in cold water...about taking the red out of the other clothes, that's happened 2 me b4 and i ended up replacing the clothes because no matter how many times i washed the clothes the red dye never came out

    • I know I won't ever be using it to make my game. I'd rather pay humans.
    • Nah. For every indie dev that needs to create code for "stuff" or textures, it's a godsend enabler to possibly tackle a project that you may not otherwise. The end result and testing will tell the truth if everything works or doesn't, or a game is just mediocre slop, but now these tools are now there and it's the developer's duty to judge the outcome, and even more so for pro studios. And you gotta remember that they will be at an early stage.
    • whoosh my comment went over your head. Enjoy your notchless 3:2 OLED device
    • As a game dev, today was really depressing. They announced that Blueprints will be deprecated in UE6 to be fully replaced by their sh**ty Python-like Verse language... They also announced that 5.8 will be the last version of UE5 until UE6 comes out in MID 2029!!!! They have completely lost the plot.
