Hey guys,

Let me explain the back story to this problem, basically my 3G dongle provider (T-Mobile) seems to block IRC and MSN, and since I use XChat for IRC and Pidgin for MSN obviously it just disconnects the programs. So, my only solution I can think of is to use a proxy to connect to these services.. sadly I cannot find any reliable ones, I tried about 10 of them, 9 of them didn't work at all.. and the other one worked for 10 minutes -.-' I just need a reliable proxy to connect to MSN and IRC with.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

I'm not entirely sure that a proxy will be able to help you, since T-Mobile probably recognises the protocol being used, and just block the protocol, regardless of how many proxies you go through.

I used to have issues with MSN on my dongle, I dont think T-Mobile will be blocking such a popular app

If you go into the connection settings on messenger and make sure there is no numbers in any of the connection settings, I seem to remember the SOCKS settings used to sometimes cause me problems

With Pidgin have you selected HTTP method (i forget the exact name) under the connection options for MSN?

That will tell MSN to connect over port 80 which should work.
