Have you changed WoW to window mode? I had to do that in order to switch between the monitors. Once in window mode expand to fill screen is checked also.

Nowadays, "Windowed Mode" is not much of a hit compared to "Fullscreen Mode" like it used to be.

The only reason why fullscreen is faster is because the entire screen surface can be completely dedicated to the game, and thus be more in direct communication with the video hardware. However, since video cards are so powerful nowadays, they can handle what little extra load there may be for having the windows GUI present.

I never played WoW, but I play Starcraft 2 beta and it has an option called 'Windowed Fullscreen'. This basically means it stretches the game to fill your desktop resolution without actually changing any video modes, and you can alt-tab seamlessly with no issues or flickering. I recommend this option if you want the fullscreen experience without losing access to other windows (including ones on second monitors).
