John (vStyler) is a very talented "skinner" and has produced awesome work over the last few years and more, a lot of which I have bought either through his maxstyles webpage or wincustomize. Whilst I have not personally bought this theme yet due to limited funds, I do plan on doing so at some stage. Also the comments where people are saying will not buy, puke etc, let's see what you can do before casting criticism, or at the very least say what you think is wrong with it (constructive criticism). Sadly it seems to be true that anything WindowBlinds related is dismissed as rubbish before it has even seen the light of day. This not only disheartens the person creating the themes etc for us but could turn them against releasing stuff in the future.

I look at it like this, people spend hundreds of pounds/dollars/whatever currency they use, purchasing skins/themes etc for PS3 and 360 which they probably only see once or twice a day, whereas a theme/skin for a PC is probably seen/used a hell of a lot more. So if people are prepared to spend x amount of money on a skin for their 360 or PS3 why not do the same for their PCs?

Just my tuppence worth

contrary to popular claims, you don't need to be a designer or artist to know that something is badly designed or doesn't look nice or has severe usability issues.

looks aside which is entirely up to the users taste, this theme does have some issues wit usability.

Any windowblind VS is automatically called poo on this site while people simply gush over an aero clone msstyle VS. Although I appreciate ID trying to educate members here by highlighting WBs here from time to time, I'm constantly reminded of why I stopped coming here to share my own creations.

What's with the thread resurrection ? and no they're not, bad ones are, good ones are not. you just see it a lot more on WB's because WB's allows a lot more crap to be slapped onto the theme, while VS' by their restrictions have to be nicer and cleaner. so a VS can't have a Dragon snaking around the border, making the upper and right border a 300 pixel wide monstrosity, WB can. It might look "cool", but it doesn't make it any less horrible.

    • WordArt was cool. We now have color fonts as a substitute although Word only supports COLRv0 and COLRv1 (Fraud OS 11 only). The OpenType SVG color font format needs to be supported by Office. Adobe's apps support it
