c3ntury
It's possible to enable multi-tasking, home screen wallpaper and nearly all other missing iOS 4 features on the iPhone 3G via jailbreaking and editing some system files. Nope, using Redsn0w (a free and legal program) you can jailbrake the iPod Touch / iPhone AND unlock the features in a few easy yet simple clicks. divinatum
Nope, using Redsn0w (a free and legal program) you can jailbrake the iPod Touch / iPhone AND unlock the features in a few easy yet simple clicks. Redsn0w doesn't do it right for 4.2.1, You need to do it by hand and edit System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app/N88AP.plist add to it; <key>multitasking</key> <true/> <key>opengles-2</key> <true/> Redsn0w doesn't add the opengles-2 line, and without that it'll just crash. But, to be honest. I wouldn't enable multitasking on the 3g, it doesn't run well at all. Stick with Backgrounder and selectively background apps.
