Joe Danger! 14$ PSN Arcade game. - An absolute blast.

I am thinking about getting it, is there online multiplayer?

No.. not .. yet.. though I assume it might be coming.

Saw this in another thread. I think i may have to get this. Has split screen too doesn't it?

Visually it looks really nice.

Yes to splitscreen multiplayer.

The game is alot of fun. Those waiting on t he GiantBomb quicklook, it really doesnt do it any justice. All they were pretty much doing was playing through all the early tracks which happen to serve as tutorial. Though it looked fun, keep in mind there's tons more than what was shown.

I hesitated tossing 15bucks at it at first, but glad I did.

PS3 exclusive?

The devs would have ported it over to multiplatform but it wouldve been initially impossible due to manpower. I think it's only what.. 4 guys ?

I'm sure it will pop up on the 360 in time.

Edit: Here's a quote.

"We're just four dudes making the game. It takes everything we've got to just bring it out on one platform. People probably don't understand that, but it's this huge amount of work, and huge amount of money to do that.

"We're kind of free agents after this, so we'll see, and we want to get our game out there. But no, we couldn't have brought it out on lots of different platforms. That would've killed us."

Source.

So I just picked up Joe Danger tonight, I have been looking forward to it ever since I saw the trailer, and I have to say although I am very early on, I am definitely not disappointed.

The controls are just like the game Trials HD, except it is much more arcadey. It honestly reminds me a lot of Excitebike, just a modern day silly version, which is definitely a good thing.

I see there is also a track creator, which is kick ass, it has split screen, and it looks like there are a whole, whole lot of levels to be played in the SP Career Mode.

So what do other people think?

I see a few people are already on my friends leadboards, PheePS, Audioboxer, and frodouk, so looks like a few people already purchased it. So what are your guys tricks to playing? Especially you Frodouk. I see you have some sick scores.

So if anyone is looking for a great little time killer that is just about having fun and is reminiscent of Excitebike mixed with Trails HD, I would say this is a game you definitely may want to check out. Since it was just released, it costs $14.99, but it already seems like it was well worth it.

To be honest, I was expecting more. The devs really boasted about how big this game was, but really it's not. Heck it's only 250MB or so.

Don't get me wrong, it's fun as hell... but there's really not much depth to it. It will get repetitive, even with the track creator. There's no online database to store them, you gotta PM them to people. Plus no online multiplayer... local is cool and all but if you don't have your buddies over it would be nice to just jump into an online match on a boring day.

    • This makes me think of Dune for some reason.
    • I'm too old to return to the "good old days" when I was installing custom ROMs and tinkering with my devices - now I just want to turn it on and use it. I've read that banking and payment apps work on Murena /e/OS (I'll have to check the ones I use) and I also really want to support Fairphone 😉
