Joe Danger! 14$ PSN Arcade game. - An absolute blast.

Sorry about making a new thread I searched and did not see anything.

Anyway figured out a huge aspect to the big scores and that's keeping wheelie's going for the big combos.

Absolutely loving this game. Coming from RDR then to this it is just a fun silly game. Truly a situation of easy to learn but hard to master. Definitely glad I picked it up.

Ok, I only played the first 3 levels and got totally raped in score by AB, DL, and a few others. I love the simplicity of the game! It's just the right thing for me right now! I kind of like crashing quite a bit though.. and diving into the shark pools. :D

No worries, I was getting raped with the score too. As you go on the game teaches you a few things that make it easier to go back in levels and get kick ass scores. I am now obsessed with the 100% combo of every level. Wheelies are definitely your friend though, no doubt about it. They keep the combos going, so that is the way to rack up the big points. I have been on some insane combos and fallen though, I broke a 42 combo before right before the finish line!

But yeah that is why I love the game right now, it is just super fun and nothing serious at all.

THIS GAME IS PURE AWESOME!!! I downloaded it a few mins ago and havent stopped since :)

PSN name is 'anarkii' if any of you want to add me and compare scores. :)

Pretty sure you are already on my list if not I will add you. DLDirtyLarry is my PSN name.

i wish they would port trialsHD to psn with improved track sharing, this looks a bit basic in comparison but trials 2 on pc has bad controls compared to the xbox version

It is more basic than Trials but it also is not if that makes sense. The tricks you can do are much more basic yes, but the challenges they give you for each level make up for this fact. It is hard to explain. But Trials definitely got to a point I was utterly frustrated, and so far, although I am not super far along, that has not even come close to happening.

Absolutely loving this so far, very competitive been going through each level just trying to beat Larry ;) Can certainly be frustrating when you drop a big combo right towards the end though :(

If anyone wants to add me to compare on their leader boards feel free, it's AbandonedTrolley.

Oh man I'm getting some sick scores. I just beat one of Larry's 61 million with 126 million.

Pffft 126 Million is Childs Play now. I have gotten in the 500 millions, so Don't worry I can go smash that soon.

I just kind of got in a groove and figured it all out. If I shared my secret you guys would all probably beat me. But nice I can provide you all incentive. I am so far ahead I have not seen someone on the leader-boards for the last 20 levels I have done. I was shocked no one has caught up. So I am not really focusing on score anymore as much as just getting through it all. So have your fun beating my scores, "I will be back." :shiftyninja::laugh:

Currently I am just trying to beat the game. I pretty much do a new level a day, and I literally try to get all of the stars. So far I have done it all with the exception of 3 stars, and they are ALL time related, I just cannot get those where you have to beat it in a certain time. I am at 53% I think but well over half way on the levels, so yeah the game is insane.

And I have literally dropped combos worth almost a billion. It is almost always either a pole or spikes on the ground. :wacko:Drives me insane.

My highest was 473 million i think. Still a good effort :)

No doubt. I tend to average in the 300 million area, so that is definitely a really good score.

I literally had 800 million on one level, I know this is I had already broken my combo, and sure enough I was going for combo 100%, so I mistakenly pressed back (I tend to press back a lot as if I mess something up I just press it real quick). This game is honestly making me think I might have OCD, because that is how I play it. It honestly drives me insane after awhile so that is why I can only do about a level a day.

^ I have the same issue Larry and Trials HD brought out the worst in me. It literally took me an hour or so in some levels until I was happy with my performance. In the end I stopped playing the game because of it though.

Yeah my wife was in the kitchen one night when I was playing it, and she actually asked me if there was something wrong with the game as it sounded like it was skipping. Well that is because I kept pressing back as soon as I would mess up, and I had 87 attempts before I realized it was crazy.

I tend to be really anal with every game I play, which is usually why it takes me longer than most people to beat games. Even if I know I will not benefit searching in a game, for some reason I still search. It is definitely a little crazy for sure. :pinch:

And just to make things interesting, I went ahead and reclaimed the high score on the leaderboards for the first 18 events. :shiftyninja::laugh:

See you guys on the leaderboards. (Y)

Strange Larry as I'm ahead of you on most of the first 2 pages on mine :/ Guessing it's not updated or something there. Will have to look into how people are getting these 300,000,000 combos, I'm guessing it involves just hanging around on some springs and building them up?

Hmm that really is weird. What I was doing was viewing the leaderboards before the event, which took awhile, and then went back to the event and would see the leader-board again when I was done. BTW it was mainly your scores I was trying to beat, although Piggy and Anarkii did have a few too.

And in response to your spring board theory, although I figured that out awhile back, and I did abuse the hell out of it once, that is not how I choose to do my scores no, as I do think it is a bit cheesy. Every score I have is just getting through the level with a high 100% combo. I can also say this, although I am pretty sure you probably know... There are a lot more moves than they two they just tell you in the game screens, experiment with the shoulder button combos, and the blue moves are the ones you want.

@ AT, I just checked the leaderboard again, and what is weird on my end is you are not even on the first few events.

Added my scores in on the first few events.

Now to start trying to beat them

Added my scores in on the first few events.

Your back in the saddle score is so getting crushed.

So just curious, did it eventually update on your end? The main reason I shared was just to confirm if they were the same on your end?

    • The concern of this article is not getting "hacked". No one is taking over my Google account and anyone that was is far away from self-hosting their passwords. It was about your big tech account of choice deciding to reduce features or getting out of the password manager business altogether. Bitwarden (or say Proton) is professional security company offering opensource solutions. They are going no where and one can easily download or export their passwords to another password manager service regardless. They again also offer self-hosted option. I doubt many people were sold on this solution based on the write up. The author had a number of warnings and caveats themselves. A local, self-managed solution is not for 99% of users.
    • I've owned nothing but ATi/AMD GPUs since 2002, after my last nVidia GPU in 2001 (3dfx before that), IIRC, and in all of that time I recall getting this error maybe once, certainly no more than twice. Despite all the scuttlebutt as to how poor AMD drivers are supposed to be that has certainly not been my experience at all... Usually it has been a configuration problem of some kind. Then again, since we're dealing with OS versions that are EOL, it could easily be an OS version discrepancy. It's still weird to think that Win11 has been officially out for more than five years!
    • AI will never be the jobs panacea some companies fantasize about today. Oracle is likely using it as an excuse, which we will see a lot of companies doing, I'm certain. They love their "plausible" excuses for their downturns. A couple of weeks ago my wife asked me to call Krogers about some discrepancy in a online grocery order, and it will be the last time either of us does that. I'll just do emails with humans from now on... The AI experience was horrible--the obviously recorded voice started asking a bunch of questions about our orders six months prior(!) and saying, "Is this in reference to your order on January 6, for $****?" You say "No!" and immediately the next question is "Is this in reference to your order on January 29th, for $****?" again, I answered "No!"--and it was incredible--on and on it went like that for fully 20 minutes until we finally got to the present, and only then was I put through to a human with authentic intelligence... I wondered why on Earth the idiot AI didn't start with the most recent orders and work back from there, as it was something anyone with a functioning brain would have done. And why didn't the AI have enough sense to ask me what the problem was in the first place? It didn't take too much deduction to understand that the goal of this "AI" was to cause the person on the phone to hang up in disgust, with no resolution of the problem. That begs another question: why pay for a tool-free problem line if the goal is to avoid solving your customer's problems?... Fortunately, Krogers does have real humans capable of reading an email and understanding it, and if she sees another situation in the future that's route she or I will take. The online grocery delivery service from Krogers has been great, over all, but their AI truly sucks.
    • AI is the justification that company administrators use to lay people off; it is not the end all, be all touted in the media (many of whom can't tell a microchip from a potato chip). Greed is main driving factor behind its adoption; the other is remaining relevant in the face of competition from other entities.
