ttam
i am having problems with a system file, userenv.dll, and i want to try to extract that file from the windows 2000 pro disc. i don't have any other computers here running 2k and it's not on any other os that i could find. i ran sfc, but it couldn't find any problems. could someone tell me how to extract a system file off the windows 2000 cd in windows 2000. i know you can do it manually in 98 and 98se by running sfc, but it's not that easy in 2k. thanks for your help. John Veteran Posted July 10, 2003 Veteran Share Posted July 10, 2003 all the .??_ files in the \i386 folder of windows cds are really cab files. rename them to .cab and you can extract the file.
