FFS, it's delayed again:

Via the official PlayStation US Blog:

We can confirm that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available this November 2nd, but the game?s release will be coming this holiday season.

We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.

Expect this delay to apply to all regions around the world ? I will update this post as other official sources continue to update for Europe, Asia, and Australia/NZ.

Alright ive had it, somebody give me a bat cause i'm going to japan to smash some faces in.

Can't believe I took November 3th to 9th off for this yesterday !!!

That's actually what ****es me off. If it was summer, fine I would go out and do something else.

But begining of November in Montreal, it's cold and it can snow.

so what do you guys are going to play then ?

Probably anything that supports PlayStation Move, as I'm picking it up tonight. :)

Also, Rock Band 2, as the stockpile of Microsoft Points I ordered turned up today and have been redeemed, so they'll be going mostly to DLC for that. :p (With the slight exception of exporting the LEGO Rock Band songs to RB2)

We've officially waited 231 weeks already (basically, since E3 2006, when it was first announced as "Vision Gran Turismo"), or 4 years and 5 months, so surely a few extra weeks of waiting won't kill you?

We've officially waited 231 weeks already (basically, since E3 2006, when it was first announced as "Vision Gran Turismo"), or 4 years and 5 months, so surely a few extra weeks of waiting won't kill you?

No but it's annoying as hell and is upsetting when they've finally pinned down a date and then move it again.

Some people take time off work, we pre-order, we plan ahead some times and we look forward to game releases like it's Christmas. Imagine telling your kids Christmas was moved "a month, you'll live".

It will when ive just spent ?40 on a game i thought was coming out in a few weeks time, i could have put that towards another game, i cant be bothered faffing about cancelling the order, then waiting for the refund to go onto my card.

This had to be in the works for some time now. No way you can delay a game 17 days before release. It has to take at-least a month or more to get the game to production and burned to BluRay and then sent to distributors. Either something major really did happen or the 2nd Nov release date was BS from the start. I am ****ed because I went and bought a PS3 just for this release. Once a release date was set I committed.

dude your bitching about buying a ps3 now? i bought one a ps3 for this game when the first release date was announced...

like I said, yesterday I took November 3th to 9th off. That's what ****es me of the most.

Some people are saying it's a marketing delay, because the game IS complete but was going to be release at the same time as kinect and black ops. They knew in advance they were going to delay the game. Come on it's supposed to be manufactured already and ready to ship. You can't delay a game less than 20 days before release like that.

      The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?

      Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with adblockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Opera Air'. It still has some bloat, but nowhere near as much as Brave browser, for example. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. I have a system wide Adblocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the the web browser, but over the whole thing. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt adblocker because of that.
