A little forewarning about the codes: both of them are meant to be for new customers only, but the MCMEXPOST code has worked for some existing customes (fortunately, it worked for me).

Meh, EB Games here in Australia are listing 31/12/2010...any money says it'll slip to March '11. To be honest I'm cool with that, lost my job and might be forced to cancel my pre-order...so the longer they delay it the more of a chance I'll be able to get a new job and actually be able to pay for it! (EB Games don't let you pay the pre-order in full..otherwise I wouldn't be bothered).

That sucks, as EB Games here in the states lets you pay whatever you want on a pre-order, as long as it is no less then $5, we can then pay the full amount of we want. It is what I tend to always do with my pre-orders, just pay in full, so this way I am just picking up.

Right now I'll bite at anything :p

My source just told me, that they got THE phone call. I hope this is true, so just rumor until official confirmation.

EU street date = Dec 1st 2010

enjoy

Lol, don't give up on the dream AB. :p

Over 1000 replies in here with all the merging, and the game isn't out.

This is why I dislike official topics being made before they should be, if I was someone not following GT5 like I do, I wouldnt even bother coming into such a large topic full of nonsense at this point, lol.

Can someone just clear up what the big hype is with the Andrian Newey Red Bull car? It's not the fastest, most superlative car in the world because it doesn't exist does it?

I could design a car to push 400mph with a nice enough jet engine on the back. This is just for GT5 is that right? People are talking about it as though it's a real life concept car.

I don't believe it's a prototype, I think it's the fact that it's drivable is the fuss. Yeah you can slap a big jet on the back of a car and get it to go fast, but how would it handle? They have worked on the whole aerodynamics with it to actually design a plausable car.

It is just for GT5 and I too don't see what is so special about it!

But it's only plausible as far as computer concepts go. It's not real. Who knows if the aero would be enough to keep it cornering at 180mph. That was my point, he can just say 'yep, that jet powered car has enough downforce to keep it from rolling whilst cornering because of this this and this'. Done.

Don't get me wrong, i'm sure it will be fun to drive!

no idea - but defo out for Xmas
BTW not ignoring all your game related tweets - just honouring my promises to developers to keep quiet for few more days.
