Wow after watching the trailer for this game, just wow. I'm kinda angry it's only a Playstation exclusive. Hope Microsoft sees this and does a better job with Forza which is beautiful and great but this just blows it away. The test track from Top gear too, wow.

Forza is about as close as you're going to get. :p

Forza will be getting the TopGear Test Track too (since they have also signed a deal with TopGear) however, no idea when since Polyphony currently have the exclusive rights to it (for how long I don't know). I expect Forza 4 to be a big leap forward, the guys at Turn 10 aren't gonna just sit there and let Polyphony take the crown without a fight, expect big things from Forza 4 is all I'm saying ;) this of cause will be great for us gamers, abit of rivalry between the top games in the genre will only result in better games for us! so bring it on I say

555,000 Copies of GT5 for France, New Launch Party Date

Gran Turismo 5 November 6th, 2010 by Jordan

I don’t have any specific updates about the GT5 disc revealed yesterday, but that hasn’t stopped quite a few interesting tidbits from bubbling up around the world. First up, word from “distribution sources” indicate more than half a million copies of Gran Turismo 5 are headed to France. More specifically, there will be 400,000 standard copies, 100,000 Collector’s Editions, and 5,000 Signature Editions available in the country. (Amazon.fr is still taking SE reservations, so hop on that if you’re interested.)

Also, GT5’s big Madrid launch party has a new date of November 24th/25th. As you may recall, the launch party was first scheduled for October 26th/27th. Considering the party was to be held exactly one week before the game’s intended worldwide launch, a release during the week of November 29th – December 3rd is beginning to look extremely likely. This release window aligns perfectly with what I’ve been told before and Sony’s own retail outlet, SonyStyle, who lists a launch date “on or around” November 30th for the game. Regardless, it’s becoming clear we don’t have much longer to wait.

Thanks to all who sent these stories in!

Lucky French! looks like they might be getting it soon! however, I'm still expecting March '11 for Australia...due to the immense popularity of this game and with the game only being printed now, I fully expect shortages and regions like Australia will be pushed back to allow the more important regions (i.e. NA, JP and EU) to get their copies first. I hope I'm wrong because I want my copy now!! however, as I said in a previous post a delay will actually work in my favor.

STILL waiting for official announcement from Sony AND when Amazon has the product delivered to my front door from UPS. Until then, negative.

It's not out til it's out :p

Right now, it's not out :p

What they said. I'm still awaiting the announcement from Sony. From all the articles I've read, it's a safe bet that it won't be released until the second week of December, at least.

    • For the purpose that it was built for, it’s a great machine. It’s okay to own multiple machines, it’s okay for machines to be different. If every computer was the same, they’d be boring af.
    • OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT memory by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT's memory, making the system more capable, current, and scalable across long-term use. Memory allows ChatGPT to remember useful details about users, including their preferences, projects, and constraints. Instead of starting every conversation from scratch, ChatGPT can use this context to provide more relevant responses in future chats. OpenAI first launched saved memories in February 2024. That feature allowed users to explicitly ask ChatGPT to save information into its memory, such as travel plans or writing preferences. However, this system had limits because it depended heavily on users giving clear instructions to remember something. Additionally, saved memories could become stale over time. In April 2025, OpenAI expanded memory by allowing ChatGPT to reference past chat context outside the saved memories list. This was powered by a background process called “dreaming,” which automatically curates memories from chat history. This made ChatGPT better at learning from natural conversation without requiring users to manually save every detail. Today, OpenAI announced a more capable and compute-efficient memory architecture built on top of dreaming. This new system improves ChatGPT’s ability to carry forward useful context, follow user preferences, and remain accurate as time passes. According to OpenAI’s internal evaluations, the new system improves factual recall from 67.9% in 2025 to 82.8% in 2026. Preference adherence improves from 55.3% to 71.3%, while accuracy over time improves from 52.2% to 75.1%. The best part of this new system is a new memory summary page where users can review ChatGPT's memories. Users can even update details, correct information, or give instructions on what topics ChatGPT should bring up and when. This new, improved memory system is available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro users in the US starting today. It will roll out to more countries, as well as Free and Go users, in the coming weeks.
    • I work for a video production company in Australia. The camera operators shoot footage and then pass the SD card over to the editors. Much easier than handing over the entire camera. Plus, on a busy day you can hand off the SD card and then pop another in for the next shoot. Or, you might have used multiple SD cards because you need the extra space for a long shoot. I also use USB cables and wifi for transferring footage, but in many cases an SD card reader is the easiest method.
