Browser Question dealing with Beezid

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Here's my issue....

I joined beezid and took place in some auctions. I was involved in bidding on a item and the timer counted down, went to going, then showed sold to me as the highest bidder. Then it went back to accepting bids and I ended up not winning.

I sent a complaint into the company and they gave me this as the result as to why it happened....

I forwarded your email to tech support and here's the information that they gave me after investigating your issue.

When a person is told that they're the winner and the auction continues it's because the timer reset/synchronization they were supposed to receive came in late, and so they were told they won and then the timer resets. It's a classic web/browser/internet performance malfunction.

Although what happened is not our fault, we would like to replace the bids that you used in the auction because we feel like what happened wasn't fair.

I can't say I've heard of such a thing and I want to know what you the experts think about this. Ask any questions and I'll be sure to answer them if possible. I use firefox when bidding and have never had this issue before this one.

Thanks guys.
