[Official US] Xbox 360 Special Offers & Deals

Recommended Posts

Madden is no longer on sale :( :( I got excited and then disappointed in the same breath.

Sorry to hear that but thanks for the update. I've checked all the deals and edited/removed the changed/expired ones.

Any chance of getting this pinned?

(In UK deals thread)

Since disabling email updates on immediate forum replies - who needs the stress! - I've actually found that making this thread a sticky has decreased its visibility, to me at least. Seeing the US Deals thread being updated alongside the stickied UK version has made me realise this.

What's wrong with pinned topics? Everyone can see them at the very top of the forum when they load the page.

It's not exactly hidden.

Once again just like the matter of the sub forums this issues comes down to browsing habits.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with pinned topics, I said for me personally it decreases the visibility of the topic.

I would suggest that this is because as I browse I often found I've scrolled halfway down the next tab before I've even switched to it and when you're quickly scanning the page it's easy for the pinned deals topic to be lost amongst the other pinned topics - which whilst important - are usually skipped straight over to view the top forum threads.

Personal preference.

Well Nicolas-C removed a lot of the old/dead pinned topics from the sub-forums just last week. It's much cleaner now imo :) And it was wayyy over due.

But only the mods have the stats if pinned topics are viewed as much as ones that aren't.

Man, seeing some of these deals on stuff like Gold and Points cards, I really am getting shafted here in Greece. The "points" cards work anywhere right? My XBL account is US based so I figure any codes I can get (somehow) should be fine.

You removed the Gamestop deal even though I had updated the post a week ago to reflect that it's good until the 31st.. :)

Sorry, I removed it because of the date without seeing your post. Updated now.

07/18/10 - 100+ titles at 50% or more at Gamestop

 *sniff* It's so lonely in here...

If only the site would load faster. Longest check out time ever.

Lost Odyssey only thing they still had I was intrested in. That Lego/Kung Fu would have been great.

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
