Perhaps its a sign of the times? The gap between the best teams has closed in recent years, and United need the best players more than ever. Or perhaps the man city rumour could have happened, and SAF didn't want another Tevez incident?

Really is dead on in terms of what I personally have seen at football matches too. The police are just way too OTT, and assume every football fan is there to cause trouble.

i'm actually more interested in the reactions from fans and perhaps even other players in the same dressing room. what i've seen so far are uturns by both the club and the player himself.

rooney doesnt exactly have an outstanding loyalty record, think "once a blue, always a blue". if he's coming up with these antics at a young age of 24, whats there to say he wont do it again. And what sort of example is he gonna set for other younger players who might not be worth the amount the clubs paid to get them?

Don't care about all the fuss about it I'm simply glad he stays with us. Anyway, what do you want to do about the way football is? Money is driving the world and you seriously expect that football will be different? Play with your friends, with kids, anywhere at anytime, it'll sheer you up. ;)
