as per suggestion i have made the addressbar slightly more opaque.

the explorerframe.dll is complete :)

the taskbar is totally complete. so is the window framing and related stuff.

yes i am thinking about the caption buttons.. i may change them if i dont come up with something better.

and now im gona start working on the startmenu. after that .... only the small stuff will be left. but that takes the longest to complete.

guys.. i need some suggestions for 2 things.

im thinking of making the startmenu black.. like the thumbnail preview. should i?

and about the thumbnail preview..... do u guys like it? or should i make it glass? i want my theme to be consistent. so stuck here.

Here's your theme as it sits on my Desktop right now. My personal feeling is that the Start Menu, taskbar and thumbnail preview all look Fantastic. No need to change anything on these. I would still like to see a bolder white text with a darker shadow behind the white text. That would make the titlebar more readable. As for the caption buttons I like the design. The only problem with them now is when you put the mouse over them the change is hardly noticeable. I see 2 options for that. 1) Make the minimize, expand and close change to bold white when you mouse over them. Or 2) make them highlight to the same colors as they are in Shine 2.0

Those are just my opinions though.

here is a quick mockup of startmenu..

and i also made a black mockup but the problem is that if u press all programs the scrollbar is white. .. so unless i do all black theme i cant make the startmenu black. so it will be white like it is.

Edit caption buttons

what do you think?

2hzssch.png

that is exaclty how the selected buttons were to be at first.. but then i put them under some different wallpapers and it seems out of place the color effect.

so i reduced it to where it is very dim

and about the caption button .. they are as if frosted glass that is why the cross and box seem difficult to view but thats what it is. as we know what button does what.

Never mind, forgot to patch everything with UTP. :) Works fine and looks very nice.

Edit: found a problem, or maybe it's supposed to be like this (?!). When saving a file from browser, the Save as dialog window doesn't display the folder tree on the left, just white space. Is this normal?

ok.. so ppl having problem?

can somebody tell me if its just the explorerframe or the whole theme.

if its just explorerframe then ill see.

its working fine for me :s

anybody else has this problem?

are u using some software or patch or something that has anything to do with the tree area?

coz im working on default system maybe its due to some patch.

if ur the only one.

    • The FIFA World Cup is not US centric.
    • It’s amusing how Microsoft is pushing IT admins as if this was a major, game-changing update. In reality, it’s just an enablement package that bumps the build number, which is disappointing compared to the more substantial 22H2 and 24H2 releases. Technically, 25H2, 26H1, and the upcoming 26H2 are essentially the same, differing only in support schedules. They could have included the Windows K2 improvements here, but chose not to. The era of Windows being in the backburner continues, and this 26H2 release feels like an afterthought. Shame, Nadella, shame.
    • Microsoft, totally not confusing /s 25H2 - Current for non-Arm based Windows 26H1 - Current for Arm based Windows 26H2 - Only for non Arm Windows
    • After I installed those, my older but capable Win 11 laptop (16GB RAM) reported it as 26H2 26300.8697. Then I installed it on my big laptop (128GB RAM! Hehe sorry), it reported it as 25H2 26220.8690. Ugh. Do I have to switch Insiders channels from Release to Beta?
