Duke Nukem Forever Announcement.. for real

Recommended Posts

If your PC can play any of the new games from this year I don't think you'll have a problem with this on the PC as well. I doubt it'll be raising any bars.

Ha, I wish I could play the games from this year decently ;P I'm running a Intel Celeron ( single core, but based off the dual core models ) 1.8ghz oced to 2.5ghz, with only 2 gigs of ddr2 ram, and a nvida 8600gt card. I'm lucky I have been able to push it as far as I have. One of the reasons I got a ps3, because I did not feel the need to spend much more on a PC again at this point. I have been away from consoles really since the dreamcast, so I have plenty to catch up on :)

remember this?

I remember it. The game still looks like it would be epic to play right now lol.

I just jizzed in my pants....

my reactions;

sleeping.gif <- when i saw the topic

blink.gif <- when i read the "for real part"

laugh.gif <- my reaction when i read this link ; http://www.3drealms.com/news/2010/09/duke_nukem_forever_arrives_on_pc_xbox_360_ps3_in_2.html

biggrin.gif <- my face during the reading

devil.gif <- then i got my gameface on.

and now I'm all like w00t.gif and will be all the way to the release!

but if they cancel it I will be cry.gif forever, and I'll find the *******, rip their heads of and **** down their neck!

Hail to the king baby!

More like they just sewed together the parts 3D Realms created and are making a cheap buck releasing it :p

From the cam gameplay so far I haven't seen anything new yet. Just the same desert area and NFL stadium.

While this does slightly bother me, its at the point where i don't care who gets the money I just want the game. I feel sorry for the poor buggers who worked for DNF at a lower then norm wage expecting to get a cut of the sales... Wonder how thats going to work now? :p

Probably because that was the first thing 3D Realms completed and thus is likely to be the most polished. Don't want people playing a section that isn't very polished, of course.

I'll believe it once I'm holding the disc.

Actually, scratch that. I'll believe it once it's installed. I mean, what if I pop in the disc and a screen pops up and goes "OH MAN, YOU BELIEVED US? LOL!"

That would be epic. Especially if done with Duke's voice -- before the various company animations.

Lol i think people would actually bomb the studio. I wonder how many threats 3D Realms has already had from hardcore fans? haha

So we can expect 2 awesome levels and the rest is filler

Definitely worth the 13 years of waiting!

Really, I could care less about single player. Duke 3d revolutionized multiplayer games and how you could tweak and make almost anything do whatever you wanted it to. I sure hope we somehow, even on consoles, get a little portion of just that. I loved making the freeze ray actually enlarge someone to explode, or making cameras be able to shoot at people who passed by, or having the pistol shrink people. You could edit everything in the config on the pc to make it to almost anything. It was just crazy. Also, I hope a sdk is released to allow level creation as in the first. With everything Duke 3d had to offer, if it just does that with updated graphics, I will be pleased.

Now I miss those old school duke multiplayer days, but oh how I hated Ten.net :p

Just remembered a map where I laid like 50 pipe bombs in a custom "school" type map, and every room my friend would enter, the pipe bombs were set as proximity mines, and he would just die as I hide behind some rooms desk. He got so ****ed lol.

    • Weekend PC Game Deals: Cyberpunk 2077, Split Fiction, Sonic Racing, and more by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place every week for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets. The Epic Games store brought along two games from wildly different genres this week for PC gamers to claim. Robobeat is a rhythm-based action game that lets you become a bounty hunter that can wall run, slide, and bunny hop around his opponents. All you have to do is stick to the beat for the built-in or custom songs. Next, Citizen Sleeper is a sci-fi RPG adventure taking place in a ruined space station. It uses tabletop RPG-inspired elements like dice rolls and timers to change up how players approach its activities, factions, and storylines. The Citizen Sleeper and Robobeat giveaways end on June 25. On the same day, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 and Voidwrought will become the next freebies. The bundle space expanded with two more collections from Humble this week too. The June 2unes bundle is up first, carrying plenty of rhythm games. This carries Kill the Music and Rhythm Witch in the $5 starting tier, followed by Trombone Champ, Spin Rhythm XD, and Thumper in the $7 tier. Paying at least $12 gets you the complete bundle, which adds on Kalpa: Cosmic Symphony, Everhood 2, NOISZ, and Sixtar Gate: StarTrail. The next bundle is for virtual reality fans. This carries Among Us 3D: VR and Zero Caliber VR for $10. The next tier brings in Tactical Assault VR, Ancient Dungeon, and Arizona Sunshine Remake for $15. VTOL VR, Zero Caliber 2 Remastered, Metro Awakening, and Thief VR land to finish things off for $18. Free Events It's a big week for free event fans, as Valve kicked off another one of its Next Fest events. This one carries thousands of gameplay slices from upcoming indie games The promotion is set to run until June 22. Standard free events are also ongoing this weekend. This includes the sci-fi grand strategy experience Stellaris from Paradox and the hit SEGA management game Two Point Museum. Asymmetric multiplayer horror title Dead by Daylight and the hit mech shooter MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries are also free-to-play over the weekend.
