AppleCare Policy

Recommended Posts

I purchased my Macbook last October, didn't buy the Ext. Warranty or AppleCare. Well it's almost up to that year mark and I was wondering if I have until the Date of Purchase or the end of the purchase month to get AppleCare?

It's $250 so Hopefully I scrounge for some cash to get it.

The date of purchase. I would definitely get AppleCare because it is worth it. I've used it several times already and it is has already paid for itself.

I personally skipped AppleCare and got insurance for it instead. Good thing too, as I dropped my MacBook down the stairs and I got a brand new iMac, a Dell Mini 10 and some Sennheiser Wireless Headphones for the trouble.

What's the difference between Insurance and AppleCare? Price wise and benefits?
