I will download when a jailbreak is released for my iPod Touch 2G. I just hope they fixed the Wi-Fi issues and the battery draining problem.

What Wi-FI issues were these? My 3gs would intermittently fail to auto join my network and would refuse to rejoin when I try manually.

I've upgraded my iPod Touch 2g to iOS 4.1.

I was surprised to see the Game Center return - wasn't it to be for iPod 3g and up only?

Other than that it's working smoothly. Significantly snappier? than iOS 4.0.x.

For unknown reasons it's on the iPod Touch 2G but not the iPhone 3G, no idea why tho.

I have a Wireless-N Linksys router and when I barely move away from it to, lets say the living room or kitchen, it disconnects because it can't find a signal. With iOS 3.1.2 I didn't have any of these problems.

Well, looks like my friend has the same problem as I do on his iPod Touch 3rd gen. The battery dies so quickly with iOS4 and it gets about twice as worse with iOS4.1

So it's worse now?! I can't downgrade to 3.1.2 because my SHSH hash's were not saved, so I am stuck? :(

Likely won't be a jailbreak for this as it will just get fixed in 4.2. So i'd wait for 4.2 ... I'm getting an iPod Touch 4G for Christmas and it will likely come with 4.2 if not 4.1 so I really hope a jailbreak for 4.2 should come around December/Early 2011. And this will hopefully bring an iOS 4 jailbreak to the iPad too. I'd laugh if they manage to hack the iPod Nano in some way to play videos :L

I've been having the exact same problem. If the phone is turned on whilst at home, it connects to wi-fi with no problem. If I leave and come back, however, it doesn't join the network automatically, and if I manually try to join it asks for the password. When this is (correctly) entered it insists that the password is wrong.

I've also been having problems with receiving calls and changing the sound output (headphones, speaker dock etc.), both of which sporadically cause the phone to slow to a crawl. Hopefully the new firmware addresses both of these problems, although if my experience with an iPhone so far is anything to go by, we'll be disappointed.

Well, I've just finished installing it, and I was right to be skeptical. Most apps instantly crash when I try to open them (including Safari and Mail). Superb. This thing has been nothing short of a **** take since the moment I got it. I just hope I can still get a refund.

Sounds like a dodgy update or you may have some faulty hardware - your problems are not common.

Definitely noticing a speed increase on the iPhone 3GS, much smoother. (Y)

Me too - I love my 3GS!

I noticed a nice speed increase on my iPhone 4, and it was already fast on iOS 4. :p

So far the only games that work with Game Center are Flight Control (.99) & Mrs. Pac-man (4.99)

Enigmo, Firemint Real Racing, and Zen Bound 2 are also updated for Game Center.

    • You're absolutely right! No reason in hell these should be on the road!
    • They aren't going to want to. Most would just go with the 17 Pro and save money. Why would they want to spend $300 for basically the same thing? It's not worth it if there are hardly any changes from year to year.
    • 24H2 rolled out to the Release Preview Channel in early June 2024, so this coming a bit later in the Experimental Channel (formerly Dev) doesn't really say much more than earlier H2 releases that came out in October. I am not sure what the thinking is here by putting it in Experimental, one would think that the 26H2 stamp means features are locked down and it's now bug tested until October? I don't even pretend to understand Microsoft's strategy for Windows Insider Program though
