I too am holding out for a jailbreak. Should be soon considering the exploit is there already.

Updated my iPhone 3G to OS 4.1 and it feels awesome. It is so damn fast and it doesn't crash at all. Safari is super fast. Now give me JB and I will be happy :D

How is everybody finding battery life? My 3GS doesn't seem to be lasting as long on 4.1 :(

Could just be imaging it though, will keep an eye on it.

Yup game center and hdr photos aren't won't losing my unlock, but after having read that the next possible jb will be tethered, it seems I'm gonna be stuck on 4.0.1 for a while

Yes updated my wife's iPhone 3G and will probably jailbreak when one is released. There is a redsn0w jailbreak that I came across but a lot of people have reported that it breaks the baseband (can't make calls or use wireless) and the phone app disappears!
