Help with PHP News script..

sorry, I forgot to mention, I'm not running an SQL server, just using invision power services.

try getting fusion news. It is simple and it does not require SQL at all. I use it and its great.

I had a hard time integrating it with my site. I use frames, and fusion news wouldnt let me change the colors/theme to the way i wanted it to.

i use frames in my site. All i did was made an iframe and just called the news.php file into it.

Take a look at My siteto see what i mean. That way i did not have to fool around with the colours as well.

P.S we just started fooling around with it so ignore the stupid posts :p

yah i wrote a news script for my site php/mysql, and it was alot of work and its a continious project because if i want it to do something i have to code it i cant just install an addon lol

how can you run IPB without MySQL? dont you need it?

Writing a news script isnt too much work as long as you have mySQL.

I wrote a script which loads a random quote from a mySQL database, added a 'Add Quote', 'Delete Quote' and 'Edit Quote' script in about 3 or 4 hours from start to finish. Changing it into a news script would just be a case of adding a few extra feild to the table (date, user who posted it, there email), then putting a it into an array with a while() loop.
