Dunno what it is, but this is the ONLY Source based game I cannot run smoothly. In fact, I can hardly run it at all at this point. It's just horribly choppy and stuttery for me. :(

The only 3 reasons that I can think of off of the top of my head Is...

1: Your location is far from California, California is where Nexons HQ is so the further you are from it the more likely you are to lag.

2: Your PC specs aren't high enough

3: The game is in Beta So I'm sure it's going to be super laggie even if you are closer to Cali because of Bugs and stuff.

1. Well I am in Florida...

2. My PC specs are not high, but for a Source based game I don't see why I can't run it smooth as butter like all the rest do :(

3. I figured some of the stuff going on for me is atributed to the beta state of the game, but then again the game has been out overseas for like 2 years or something and should be fairly bug free at this point (not bug free, but at least fairly stable you know what I mean).

We will see what happens when they issue the patch this week or next I guess.

1. Shouldn't be much of an issue, I'm in PA and have virtually no lag what so ever. Is the lag FPS lag or internet lag? (fairly obvious to tell)

2. Just being a Source game doesn't mean it will have similar performance to other Source games, look at TF2, probably the worst performing Source game there is, much worse then all the others, even those on the same engine.

Another thing to look at.. is the game jittery and choppy while just running around? or while inside of a battle?

Yeap, thats a big difference and the only thing that worries me at this point is relying on the group leader to host the instance.

btw hit level 20 last night and got my last full set of armor woot!! I still don't see a lot of people playing on line. So if you are playing on East server add : Nwwb to your friends list so we know how many we have in game.

was finishing up season 3 of chuck. with superman in it from superman returns. :p

now i need to find a new show to catch up on the last few seasons of. maybe i will try to find where smallville left off(it stopped airing for like 2 months a couple years ago so i lost interest).

Chuck is my #1 show on TV. Gotta watch my Chuck.. AND HOLY COW btw.. Olivia Munn is on this season!! YES!!

I don't have a #1, however I likely won't get much play time tonight.. season premier of Big Bang Theory is on tonight.

i don't actually watch tv as it comes on actual tv or w/e. i tend to catch up years later on interesting shows. otherwise the xmas break hits and no new shows for 2-4 weeks and i lose interest.

the last show i just had to watch every week was battlestar galactica. and the long breaks in teh last couple seasons were killer.

i just finished how i met your mother a month or two ago, so i have to wait for 3 years for it to finish before watching the new and future episodes. even though it is awesome.

i'm not a big fan of olivia munn, so i'm not to hyped for the episodes with her in them. chuck scores some good cameo casting though. although i hated the episode with lana lang from smallville, since i hate her as an actress and all of her characters in tv or movies.

unless i try and catch up on smallville, i'm pretty much out of tv for the most part.

1. Yeah, I don't get any lag with serves in CA from here normally. Unless the server is total garbage of course. And it's FPS lag not internet lag :(

2. Yeah I also know that just because it's a Source engine based game doesn't mean it'll automatically run good for me. I just expected it to run smoother for me considering the pedigree of the engine and the fact I've never had any problems running a Source game prior to this one.

Another thing to look at.. is the game jittery and choppy while just running around? or while inside of a battle?

It's jittery and choppy all the time. It takes a mega long time to load into the game (and load out of it), it takes a long time for all the assets for the game to load (textures etc) and battles are even worse :(

Mabinogi Heroes was released in beta form in Korea in July 2009, so it's been 14 going on 15 months now :D (sorry, I go to OnRPG and ppl love to argue small crappy things like this lol)

ahh ok, f2p betas for korean games are often several months long and often don't have wipes. so it's probably been out of beta for 6-8 months. still it only has the 3 classes(one more than us- evie) there are 2 more planned, the archer and the giant melee dude.

at least that's what i've been reading. not saying my sources are entirely reliable. :p

It's very possible for them to add the Archer person and the giant melee guy. Just because Mabinogi had Elves (mainly focused on archery) and Giants (mainly focused on pure melee)

Though I'm not quite sure how they will really use the archer unless it has some melee options as well. Just because I'd find it to be a little boring to shoot, run, shoot, run, shoot, and run some more.

Than again everyone likes there own type of gameplay. But if they did make a giant character I'm really looking forward to seeing how the Giants will look in the game :D

But ya I looked and I can't find the big bang theory on tonight  So I guess I can't watch it, Lol. But I agree Treemonster, I'd rather just wait to buy the season Dvds because they have no commercials~ and you can watch episode back, to back, to back if you choose to, Lol.

Can i get a beta key please?

email just in case: [email protected]

I found out about this game a little late and all the keys were gone by the time i searched everywhere. 'Even tho every time someone registers they get 2 and we should never run out of keys'

I will post my 2 extra keys that i receive when registering or PM them to a mod.

I'd really like to play this game.

    • First time clicking on a Sayan Sen article after he started making clickbait, vague headlines recently. Didn't read, just came here to say the headline doesn't look like very cheap, vague clickbait this time. Are you okay?
    • Good review, and yeah the benchmark breakdown is pretty clear but also a little messy in a good way. It’s kinda interesting to see where the RX 9070 GRE slides in between the 7800 XT and the 9070 XT , especially when it comes to AI tasks and Blender style workloads. The side by side with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 and 4070 makes it feel obvious just how competitive the mid range GPU scene has gotten lately, and that’s great for creators and gamers too since you can pick based on your priorities rather than only chasing one single thing.
    • That's it. I finally uninstalled Firefox because they often keep pushing buggy updates, only to test them later and make users suffer. No longer is it my alternative browser to Edge. What a waste of energy. Firefox is bad for the environment, just like Chrome (wasting RAM/energy).

Alongside Windows 11's new preview builds released this week, Microsoft confirmed version 26H2, which is coming later this year as an enablement package based on the same platform as versions 24H2 and 25H2. A newly published blog post details what IT admins should do to prepare for the upcoming launch. Next, we have new Windows 11 bugs. Users report that this month's security updates for Windows 11 cause all sorts of issues, including BitLocker bugs, OneDrive issues, black screens of death, and third-party integration in Office apps. Microsoft has not confirmed those yet, but it acknowledged other issues with its operating system. What Microsoft has confirmed is a bug where Recycle Bin delete prompts display internal file names instead of actual ones, and a year-old Windows JScript compatibility bug caused by security-focused engine changes. Moving to more positive news, Microsoft and Adobe are working on improving Windows performance in popular creative apps like Photoshop. Thanks to SPGO optimizations, users can expect up to 20% better performance. Finally, we have a few useful articles that can help you recover your PC or make it perform better. This week, Microsoft announced its newest Surface devices powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon X2 processors. There is the 12th-gen Surface Pro and the 8th-gen Surface Laptop. The Surface Laptop also received a new haptic trackpad. Mozilla is currently working on a major Firefox redesign, and earlier this week, it published a roadmap of upcoming features and highlights of the upcoming "Project Nova" rework. Files, one of the best file managers for Windows 10 and 11, has been updated in the Preview channel with a long-requested feature. Reviews are in Here is the hardware and software we reviewed this week Earlier this week, we reviewed the DuRoBo Krono, a portable, phone-sized e-reader with some interesting physical controls. This device has an Apple Watch-like dial for page turning, frontlight adjustment, and more. Software is simple and no-nonsense, but it also lacks some useful features and customization. Overall, the device proved interesting, but not flawless. On the gaming side Learn about upcoming game releases, Xbox rumors, new hardware, software updates, freebies, deals, discounts, and more. Forza Horizon 6 received two big updates this week. Alongside the Series 2 content update, developers pushed plenty of bug fixes and balancing tweaks. However, they also had to acknowledge the Eliminator CR-farming exploit and shut down the online mode temporarily. Luckily, only a few days later, another fix arrived, which re-enabled Eliminator and patched the exploit. Microsoft announced new games for Game Pass subscribers.
