Batman 3 "The Dark Knight Rises"

Recommended Posts

you must be a nolan fanatic... thor didn't suck at all, either did captain.

It's down to opinions, but he is correct, the quality of the marvel films are not the same as the latest Batman films. The latest Batman films go much deeper where has the current marvel ones are more comical and less serious. It's all down to taste. I like both the Batman films and the Marvel films, but comparing them both, Batman is at higher quality.

^This

Very true. They could've done the same with Wolverine, going all dark and deep like they've done with Batman. So in that case, it also depends on what director/writer is at work for said movie.

I think it boils down to the Marvel films are vehicles for selling toys, promotions, tie-ins, etc. Heck the last 2 films (Thor + CapAmerica) were nothing more than pre-story for the upcoming Avengers - I felt they were poorly written and just too "obvious".

Apples and oranges.

Much of Marvel and even most of DC are metahumans - superpowered humanoids, alien or otherwise, whose stories are never going to be as grounded in "reality" or as serious as the stories about Batman, Hawkeye, Green Arrow etc. who are not superpowered.

Hell, Batman is just a modern high tech version of The Scarlet Pimpernel or Zorro - masked but very human avengers who date back to 1905 and 1919 repectively.

Thor had the absolute best "Superhero Moment" I've seen since I was

a kid. Growing up, every cartoon had "the moment" when the superhero

actually turned into the superhero: whether it was the lions coming together

to make Voltron, or Captain Marvel yelling, "Shazam!", etc. I haven't seen

anything that cool for a long, long time... so when Thor was lying in the

street about to die, and the hammer flared to life, and Thor started

changing... well, that was just awesome.

Warner is planning on showing a 6 minute prologue for The Dark Knight Rises with the early IMAX showing of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol on December 16.

Apparently only on actual 70mm IMAX, not the stupid digital IMAX that theaters have been installing lately. There's only one true 70mm IMAX theater in my state, luckily it's not too far away.

There's also a report that in addition to the prologue being played before 70mm IMAX showings of "Mission Impossible" on December 16, that they will play a new trailer before the new "Sherlock Holmes" which is also getting released on December 16. I can't wait for December 16!

How do I find out about where the cameras are?

The other thing about Batman is that his villains are just as if not more iconic than he is. Only really Superman and to a lesser extent Spiderman come close, at least in pop culture.

"It's really all about finishing Batman and Bruce Wayne's story. We left him in a very precarious place. Perhaps surprisingly for some people, our story picks up quite a bit later, eight years after The Dark Knight. So he's an older Bruce Wayne; he's not in a great state.

Finally confirmed....

TDKR takes place 8 years after TDK, and the prequel is to fill in the gaps.

Warner Bros. Pictures? ?The Dark Knight Rises? ? the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan?s Batman trilogy ? is one of the most anticipated films of 2012, but moviegoers won?t have to wait until next year to see the six-minute opening sequence of the film. The film?s prologue will be unveiled exclusively in select 70mm IMAX? theatres worldwide. The announcement was made today by Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution, and Veronika Kwan-Rubinek, President of International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

The Prologue will be released in North America on December 16, and in the UK on December 21, 2011. Additional international dates vary by territory and will be announced soon.

In making the 2008 blockbuster ?The Dark Knight,? Nolan was the first to use IMAX? cameras in a major motion picture release, and, as now, audiences were given an advance look at that film?s prologue months prior to the Summer 2008 opening. Nolan employed the extremely high-resolution cameras even more extensively on ?The Dark Knight Rises??including the film?s prologue?to achieve unprecedented crispness and clarity and a truly immersive experience for the moviegoers.

Christopher Nolan stated, ?Our experience on ?The Dark Knight? shooting and projecting IMAX 15 perf 65mm/70mm film was inspiring. The immersive quality of the image goes beyond any other filmmaking tool available, and in revisiting Gotham, we were determined to shoot even more of the movie in this unique format. Giving the fans an early look at an IMAX sequence is a great way to draw attention to what I believe will be an incredible way to experience our story when it comes out next summer.?

I heard it was 7

Christopher Nolan said it was 8yrs in an interview. And it was confirmed like almost 2 weeks ago in SOOPRcow's post right above DocM's post, but it was hidden by spoiler tags (not really much of a spoiler, but I guess it could be if someone didn't want to know anything about the movie, then again, if that was the case why would they be reading this thread anyway lol.)

Must've misread it, then

No installation needed. Just decompress the archive, launch the executable, and access computer-related information. Glow runs on Windows 11 and Windows 10 64-bit versions. Glow 26.10 changelog: New Features The bootstrapping algorithm has been completely redesigned. The software can now launch directly without requiring TS Preloader. As part of this change, the startup splash screen displayed during initialization has been removed. In addition, spikes in CPU usage have been eliminated, resulting in a more stable architecture with significantly lower memory consumption. The Microsoft Office detection infrastructure within the Operating System section has been enhanced. Additional detection support has been added for Office C2R (Click-to-Run) installations. Furthermore, the license status evaluation system has been improved, and the priority order has been revised as follows: Licensed > Grace Period > Other (NOTIFICATIONS, EVALUATION, etc.). Glow now includes preliminary support for Wi-Fi 8 technology, allowing more detailed information to be displayed for Wi-Fi 8-compatible network adapters. Glow now provides full support for Bluetooth 6.2. Adapters supporting Bluetooth 6.2 can be analyzed in greater detail and with improved accuracy. The disk distribution view in the Disk section has been modernized, replacing the traditional table layout with a new 2×2 card-based design. The TS Custom Controls module has been updated to v26.7. Thanks to the new custom controls, all Türkaysoft applications now offer a more modern and consistent user interface aligned with Windows 11 design standards. Bug Fixes Potential line-ending handling issues in the Office detection code within the Operating System section have been resolved. Additionally, the output format has been standardized to UTF-8 to prevent character encoding issues and ensure consistent data processing. Several stability and file management issues within the Debugging infrastructure have been addressed. Problems that prevented new log files from being created after Debugging was disabled, as well as issues causing debug records to be lost, have been fixed. File deletion and reaccess issues that occurred after file locks were released have also been resolved. In addition, a bug that caused newly recreated log files to remain locked after deletion has been eliminated. Unnecessary blank lines within debug logs and the extra empty line that could appear at the end of log files have also been corrected. A shortcut key conflict caused by assigning identical hotkeys to both the DNS Test Tool and the Donation page has been fixed. The DNS Test Tool can now be accessed using CTRL + Shift + D, while the Donation page is available via CTRL + Alt + D. Changes The service responsible for providing the Public IP Address and Internet Service Provider information in the Network section has been updated to use the ipinfo.io infrastructure. This change improves the accuracy and consistency of the displayed data. (No external requests are made while Hiding Mode is enabled.) Some terms in the Dutch and Korean language files have been updated to make them clearer and more user-friendly. [TS Updater] Before the update process begins, users are now prompted to choose whether they would like to view the release notes. Note: Always unzip the program before using it. Otherwise you may get an error. Download: Glow 26.10 | 1.8 MB (Open Source) Links: Glow Homepage | Screenshot | Github Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware
