OK i think i shuld make the scenario more clear. or maybe i want to bump .. maybe both

here is the deal:-

I hav 2 NICS on my PC (Server). Intel {Nic1} and Dlink {Nic2}. NIC1 is connected to net through cable Modem. Nic 2 is connected peer to peer on Client pc which has realtek Nic.

After running AnalogX proxys server. i goto client, use lan confiiguration in IE to configure my proxy address and browse net from there.

thats the whole deal i want to Emulate on Redhat 9 (server) and Mandrake 9.1/WindowsServer2003 (client).

And will Redhats ICS work here. should try it ..BRB

Yes what your trying to do can be done with Redhat - and everything you need is on the 3 CDs. But have you thought of just buying a dsl/cable router? They can be found for less than $50 US

The setup will be simple, you will no longer be tied to having to have one machine on for another to access the net. Which will allow for you to play with different OSs reboot at will, leave machine down for extended periods while playing with it, etc.. etc.. You will be more secure, since only ports you say to be open will be forwarded to any of the machines on your lan.

If still looking to get the speed boost and logging you can get from running a proxy - this still can be done, etc.. etc..

I would think that anyone that can afford high speed access, and multiple machines - should be able to afford a router.

Budman , your are very right ...

To answer .. ya i can afford router .. but always think Should I , Do i really need it , Is it over kill , and after some wise words from friends and pals like you .. get it :) .. will tell u how it goes ;)

Prob solved guys. I am an absolute Newbie (in terms of installing , bash commands , configuring servies , loading services, configuring firewall and all this things) .

I struggled real hard with IP tables and Squid (using webmin). But my Friend (a linux guru) came to my house .. removed Iptables and Installed IP chains , then he telnet-downloaded a Ip mascareding script and configured the eTH's(Nic) settings. Viola ! .. *SWEET* .. my Sis can browse net through the other machine now. without a proxy man.

Man , was he (my friend) smoking bash commands in front of me .. I hav so much to learn.

Kyro. :) (smiles and lives happily after)Two bombs, not one, went off in BEST bus number 340 at Ghatkopar last night, the Mumbai police suspect.

?Early evidence suggests one of the bombs was hidden below the last seat on the right side and the other beneath the last seat on the left,? said Senior Police Inspector Jalinder Khandagale of the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad.

The question on their minds now is how the blast perpetrators succeeded in detonating the two explosives at the same moment, Khandagale said.

Bombs identical to those in Vile Parle, Mulund blasts

Two people died in yesterday?s explosion in a BEST bus on Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, Ghatkopar, while over 30 were injured.

Senior Police Inspector Jalinder Khandagale of the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) said the bombs used were improvised explosive devices (IEDs), which had also been used in the Vile Parle blast on January 27 and the Mulund train explosion on March 13 this year.

Ghatkopar bomb blast: Photo Essay

IEDs are sophisticated bombs manufactured from commonly available chemicals, namely, potassium chlorate, potassium nitrate, potassium permanganate and ammonium nitrite, which act as an ?oxidiser.? Materials like sulphur, aluminum powder, arsenic sulphide, charcoal and sugar in finely powdered form act as ?fuel? for the oxidiser.

The ?oxidiser? and ?fuel? are mixed in an equal ratio to form an explosive mixture. Concentrated sulphuric acid is used to initiate the explosive charge.

Another BDDS officer said, ?Ammonium nitrate and gelatin sticks seem to be among the components of the bomb. We have handed over the burned articles from the blast site to the forensics department. The report will be complete today.?

The BDDS, however, is not yet sure of the splinters used in yesterday?s explosion.

?The rear of the bus was completely destroyed due to the explosion, but the middle and front were not badly damaged. Yet the intensity of the explosion was such that a motorcylist following the bus was thrown 15 feet away by its sheer force,? Khandagale pointed out.

    • Ummmm Are you kidding? Do think these books being sold are disclosing they are AI written?
    • i'm just commenting because of this madness. you simply asked "what crowd" which i too am genuinely curious about, only to receive a response in the form of a link that directs to an analysis of the audited financial statements with the accompanying notes. then you say that the guy who wrote it is stupid, which whatever, that's not an argument being discussed atm, only to receive a response from Arceles saying "i don't deal with people whose first response is an ad homenim". jesus. this is like making a claim, and then saying "i don't deal with people who speak in a certain way or swear so i'm not gonna answer you hah!" (said in a nasaly voice, not trying to depict you Arceles). then focus on the argument instead of the explanation begins... "so what don't you like about the guy (lunduke)" followed by "he just likes to insult people" and the explanation for the "crowd" being referred to was never even established. so a request for an explanation about the crowd turned into an argument about "why do you think lunduke is an idiot". wowza.
    • Sony lays off 30% of staff from Days Gone developer Bend Studio by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Another wave of layoffs has hit the game developer space, and this time, it's a first-party Sony studio that's been affected. Following a report by Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, Bend Studio has confirmed that it is letting go of "incredibly talented teammates" as it begins work on a new game project. "Today, we said goodbye to some incredibly talented teammates as we transition to our next project," said Bend Studio in a social media post today. "We're deeply thankful for their contributions as they've shaped who we are, and their impact will always be part of our story." Bend Studio is most well-known for its 2019-released open-world zombie adventure Days Gone, which even received a remaster just a few months ago. Prior to that, the studio had been responsible for the classic Syphon Filter series while also developing several PlayStation Portable and Vita games like Resistance: Retribution and Uncharted: Golden Abyss, respectively. "This is a difficult moment for our team, but we hold immense respect for everyone who got us here," the company added. "As we move forward, we remain committed to building the future of Bend Studio with creativity, passion, and innovation in the titles we craft." While Sony did not detail just how many staff have been affected by this latest decision, Jason Schreier revealed that 30% of the studio is being laid off. This amounts to around 40 people, according to the reporter. Earlier this year, Sony canceled two live service games that were in development at Bend Studio and Bluepoint Games. It was never revealed what this mystery game was supposed to be. "Bend and Bluepoint are highly accomplished teams who are valued members of the PlayStation Studios family," Sony said at the time. It's unclear if Bluepoint, which had been developing a God of War live service experience, will soon be hit by its own wave of layoffs too.
