any free driver update software

Recommended Posts

If you've got a branded PC (i.e. Dell, Toshiba etc) they usually have drivers for your exact model on their website. Some even have update software built in (i.e. HP, Sony etc).

Using driver update software isn't really recommended, they don't usually work.

I know . but using driver update software is very much handy and keeps track of latest driver updates.

Be very careful. Most of those "helpful" apps are just scams or spyware.

I wouldn't waste my time. Most of these are going to be complete crap / scams.

Also, Windows update (in windows 7) does this out of the box.

I would trust the FileHippo updater, but I don't know if that covers drivers or not.

You were right to be cautious about such software. However, DriverEasy is a real product, not a scam.
