Changing Themes in Panther

if you are in Panther, get themefur

open up /system/library/frameworks/carbon/framework/versions/a/frameworks/hltoolbox.framework/versions/a/resources/

drag the extras.rsrc from there into the jaguar extras box in themefur, and then whatever extras.rsrc file from the theme you want to install into the Your Extras box and then click create theme.

Apply using metamorphX, relogin and bobs your uncle, theres your panther install with a new theme.

You might want to make a backup of the old extras from the first location as well if you are ever wanting to go back to the old panther theme
