Harrison Ford has revealed that he is ready to do another Indiana Jones film.

The actor spoke to Access Hollywood in advance of the premiere of his new movie Morning Glory, declaring that he hopes to make a fifth Indiana Jones instalment.

"Oh sure, I'd love to do it," he said.

Ford admitted that he and producers George Lucas and Steven Spielberg would need to sit down to discuss where they could take the franchise next before making a sequel.

He explained: "If there?s something that the three of us can agree on then I'd love to do it."

Meanwhile, Ford recently finished filming Cowboys and Aliens with Daniel Craig and Olivia Wilde.

"It's a real cowboy movie, looks like a cowboy movie, feels like a classic cowboy movie, and then things happen, and then it goes back to being a cowboy movie with this added element," Ford said. "And I think it's the kind of film that there's a real broad audience for. I'm very excited for it. I think it's going to be good."

I'm down with this if they stop trying to 'reinvent' it. IJ4's plot itself didn't offend me as much as it offended others (really, aliens aren't that crazy compared to ghosts flying out of the Ark of the Covenant). It was the constant attention on the greaser crotchfruit that wore me out.

I wouldn't mind taking a little bit from the old point and click series and making a movie based on Fate of Atlantis. The game itself was short, but it could translate into a killer film with the right writer behind it.

/now that I think of it, a LOT of those old adventure games could make great new film franchises in the spirit of Indiana Jones, they had the humor for it

//Broken Sword anyone?

should have thought about that before you screwed number 4...go jump in a fridge buddy cos it aint happening.

LOL. I thought the fridge thing was brilliant. The movie didn't go to **** until it started involving aliens.

:(

The only way I could see myself enjoying this is if the the following happened:

  • Get rid of Shia LaBeouf.
  • Don't have it so that Indiana is married.
  • Less reliance on CGI.
  • No aliens.

In fact, I think I have the perfect opening for film 5. Replay the marriage scene from the end of 4, then have Indiana's alarm go off and fade through to a scene of Indiana waking up. It turns out everything that happened in I.J.4 was all a dream...

When you write aliens into an Indiana Jones script, you just know you running out of ****ing ideas that Spielberg and Lucas are being totally self-indugent.

Fixed that for you ;)

Fate of Atlantis, Lucas. You had the perfect Indy 4 right there, and you ignored it.

Quoted for ultimate truth!

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
