Some REALLY interesting news has just been slid our way from creator Oren Peli himself that's bound to have Paranormal Activity fans up all night with both fear and excitement! A third entry into the franchise is on its way, and we've even got the release date for you!

That's right, kids! Paranormal Activity 3 will be in theatres on October 21, 2011! After a truly stellar second entry, the question beckons - can lightning strike for a third time? One thing is for sure; the pressure is on for the makers of this film.

I thought 1 was good, and 2 was better. Just the sheer suspense and atmosphere in the theatre was really enjoyable... even the bangs made everyone jump.

Can't wait for 3 :) Not sure how they'll plot the story though...

I'm a little confused by PA2. From my understanding:

* The demon was after the baby in PA2.

* The father cast the demon over to the sister (main girl in PA1)

* Girl from PA1 while possessed by said demon comes to PA2 family house and takes the baby

* But at the end of PA1, she kills herself.

* I assume she snatched the baby in the "lost time" at the end of PA1?

* So she goes home in PA1 without the baby and kills herself?

Sorr, bit confused by the timeline?

There wasn't a baby in PA1 though? Or did you mean PA2?

The theatrical release of PA1 ended differently ;).

I thought 1 was good, and still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I thought the story, cast and acting was better in 2, but they went all out for jumps rather than something chilling. They need to make a third, if only to complete the story, but I sincerely hope they don't try and milk the franchise any further than that.
