thingsforjason
So how do you get transparency w/ e-console? I couldn't figure out how to configure it... And is it better than console? whack
its not better really just different console is very limited but does alphablending econsole doesn't do alphablending but you can use any bacground you want you can use a tinted transparency it has a skinable border and alot of other features by the way if you want to use transparency just right click on it and theres a menu it's in the menu but I personally like to just set it to use my background image as a background and set it to relative it runs a little better that way Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/9544-skinnable-command-line/page/2/#findComment-75754 Share on other sites

moshi
its great, but what should i do in windows console? wish windows had a powerful console like linux this is what you need: http://unxutils.sourceforge.net/ just add the folder with the binaries to your system path. DTerm was written by Nivenh and was part of the Dimension shell. it is no longer under development since years. Nivenh has done a Console code-fork which is available here: http://www.lokai.net/download_view.php?img-3 on my own system Bozho?s Console is a little faster: http://sourceforge.net/projects/console/ both are skinned by msstyles and offer a wide variety of customization which can be easily configured with an XML file. both also have real transparency. you might like to use them with LSH as command line shell. offers POSIX paths and color customization: http://www.lokai.net/download_view.php?img-5 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/9544-skinnable-command-line/page/2/#findComment-1136453 Share on other sites
moshi
and that 3D shell was probably Dimension. still available at ShellFront: http://www.shellfront.org/shells/ Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/9544-skinnable-command-line/page/2/#findComment-1136480 Share on other sites
