Server 2003 CAL question RE: server 2008

Hello

do i have to replace the user cals in my SBS2003R2 domain if i want to use Server 2008 as a backup domain controller?

what do i need if i need to add. the sbs box is standard and has 30 user cals.

I do not believe so. As long as you fsmo roles stay on the 03 box you should be fine from a licensing perspective. The question really becomes did you choose per seat or per server when you setup the licensing? I hope you choose per seat.
