Carlos Tevez has made it clear that he wants to leave Manchester City after a breakdown in his relationships with 'certain individuals'.

City announced earlier on Sunday that they had rejected a transfer request from the Argentine striker, who has scored 39 goals in 60 appearances for the club.

In a lengthy statement, City also expressed their disappointment with the actions of Tevez'srepresentative.

The 26-year-old has now responded by confirming that he is keen to move and offering his reasons for the decision.

Tevez says some relationships have 'broken down beyond repair' and he now feels he has no choice but to go.

However, he has stressed that has 'no personal issue' with manager Roberto Mancini and thanked owner Sheikh Mansour for his 'understanding and support'.

Although quite frankly West Ham does not in it's current state deserve such a talented footballer I would love to have him back. Chances of it happening are equivalent to M. Night making a movie that doesn't suck...

we don't deserve any footballer and even though he us a sweet ?25m (which we are still paying back) I would love to see him don the Claret and Blue again! :D

Update from mcfc.co.uk

It is with disappointment that we confirm to our supporters that Carlos Tevez has submitted a written transfer request. The Club can also confirm that the request has been rejected.

The Club remains disappointed by this situation and particularly with the actions of Carlos' representative.

Roberto Mancini and all at the Club have shown, and will continue to show, sensitivity to Carlos' personal circumstances including the issue of his family being based overseas. Indeed following his suspension as a result of the game against Bolton, Carlos requested, and was given, special dispensation by the Manager to take leave overseas.

The written transfer request is in stark contrast to Carlos' stated position in both public and club contexts. Significantly, over recent months, the Club has also received numerous requests from Carlos? representative to renegotiate and improve his playing contract as well as more recently a request to extend that contract by another year.

However, in line with the Club's policy of not negotiating playing contracts mid-season this has not been granted. Carlos' current five-year contract has three-and-a-half years to run and he is the highest paid player at the Manchester City Football Club.

This is both an unfortunate and unwelcome distraction and the Club will remain focused on the games ahead in what is turning out to be a very promising season. The door remains open for Carlos to be selected to play.

I just wish he could be honest and say he doesn't want to be so far away from his family. It's understandable and nobody would have a massive problem with it.

Usually players bring their family with them. He wants to leave City? Fine, he either will be playing in Argentina or Spain. Either way it's sunny and they speak spanish. So his family will come with him this time. Let's be honest for a second, his family don't want to leave in England, that's all. He said he misses his family for about 4 years now, I can understand that, we all do, but why don't they join him in Manchester? Don't get me wrong, I don't blame Carlos Tevez, or his family, I just don't understand the situation.

Personally i think a Spurs shirt would suit him better ;)

I hope he does leave, i love the fact its all kicking off, they may be doing alright in the league but the football the play isnt the best.. I just cant wait til it all blows up in their faces and to show them that money cant buy titles. I LOVE seeing Man City lose :D

It looks pretty certain that Balotelli's gonna be leaving soon, without him and Tevez they'll be screwed.. Oh well i suppose they could buy Ronaldo, Messi, Kaka, Villa, Gerrard, Lampard and all the other players they said they were gonna bring to City, HAHA.

Just goes to show, Sir Alex was right to ship this clown out of old trafford. Who could be bothered with his antics, he will never be happy.

Lured in by the big wages, fancy watches and "glamour" of Man City, then burned a beauty.

If he wants to leave, they should just let him go and deal with the breach of contract through the courts. As a team manager the last thing you want is a player that doesn't want to play for you, as you are likely to get sub par performances

Let him leave in the next window, but make him sign a contract that doesn't allow him to play for any other european club for 4 years. ?I hope they have behaviour fines in his contract, he's forcing the issue and he's not looking good. ?I can't really see any clubs out of europe who would be able to afford such a move.

Or they can reach a comprise, he plays for another season for ?1 a week.

    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
