How to tell genuine laptop charger from fake ?

I need to advise somebody on the exact charger they need for their laptop as they bought a cheap import which didnt work

Laptop is an Acer Aspire 5310

Ive looked around and am getting slightly muddled up with sites that say Genuine, and others that say the same, but the charger look totally different

I have a feeling it will say LITEON on it ? Am I correct ?

They want to buy an original genuine charger designed specifically for their laptop, so please dont post chargers that "will work" but are not originals

In fact get your customer one too.

I spent about 15 minutes trying to hunt down who the manufacturer of the factory ones is with no luck. It's probably LiteOn though.

My wifes Acer laptop charger says LITEON.

If it's an Acer, Gateway or Emachines, LiteOn is the official AC adapter.

My Acer 5517 is a Delta Electronics. Looks like yours would be a LITE-ON though.
