I've always used Internet Explorer since 1994, but decided to give Chrome a try until IE9 final is released.

How did you live in 2004-2006 with IE6? I used Internet Explorer as my primary browser up to late 2005 when i was sick of the automated ActiveX installation when accessing a dodgy site

Has to be Firefox on Windows (and Linux as well) as the primary combination.

browser/os combos used through the years:

IE on w98

IE in wme

NS on wme

mz on wme

mz on wxp

mz on linux

fb on linux (firebird-->before it was changed to ff)

fb on win2003

ff on win2003

ff on wxp

ie on win2008

ff on w2008

still using ff on win2008

devled into for short periods:

avant browser (ie clone) on wxp

opera browser on wxp

At Work:

(Casual Browsing) Firefox on Windows 7 x64

(Corporate Intranet) Internet Explorer on Windows 7 x64

(Mac Related Work) Safari on Mac OS X

At Home:

(Main Desktop PC/Media Centre) Firefox on Windows 7 x86

(BootCamp) Firefox on Windows 7 x64

(Mac) Chrome on Mac OS X

Chrome on Windows 7.

It's working alright, although I don't notice any speed differences between that and Firefox. Only thing Firefox has over Chrome is good extensions which I use quite a lot of, so when I bump into a site I want to use the extensions on,then I will use Firefox.

Latest Firefox build on Mac OS X primarily.

On Windows it's Firefox stable, same for Ubuntu and Mac OS X on my netbook. :)

I tend to start Chrome when I'm in a hurry though and need a web browser that just starts up blazing fast, you know, when all my comfy addons in Firefox are not important for the moment.

    • This 4K webcam from Acer is now only $59.99 by Taras Buria Those looking for an affordable, high-resolution webcam from a reputable manufacturer can check out the latest deal from Acer, which puts its 4K webcam at a solid price. Thanks to a 14% discount, you can buy this all-metal 4K webcam from Acer for just $59.99. Despite the affordable price tag, the webcam has a pretty large 1/2" CMOS sensor manufactured by Sony. Apart from its size, it supports additional conveniences, such as high dynamic range and phase-detection autofocus (PDAF). Plus, the camera ensures you do not have to buy additional audio equipment, as it comes with two built-in high-sensitivity microphones, a built-in background noise filter, and the ability to pick up your voice from up to 2.5 meters away. Acer is not cheaping out on materials, and the webcam is enclosed in a more premium metal case, which is also good at heat dissipation (high-resolution cameras can get quite hot). And to make sure no one is peeping at you when the camera is in use, there is a magnetic cover also made of metal. Additional conveniences include an LED status indicator and a built-in mount that lets you place a camera on a tripod. • Site is timing out for me.
    • Stop reporting AR glasses as an X inch screen, Y distance away. That is a horseshit meaningless spec. Report on the actual FOV angle. That's all that matters. And for the record, this FOV is ~49degrees. So we're talking about HoloLens level FOV... i.e. it's like looking through a piece of paper at arm's length.
    • I bought a 4TB Samsung 990 Pro for $250 brand new during Black Friday, to give some comparison. Things are getting absolutely ridiculous.
