Logitech K750 Wireless Solar Keyboard

Recommended Posts

I think I've got a way to order this in Canada :)

I simply took the URL of the "Add to Cart" button from a different product on the Logitech Canada page, and replaced the Product ID# in the URL with that of the K750 on the US website. Voila, added to cart and listed as In Stock!

tl;dr;dgadjgtl Use this link: https://buy.logitech.com/store/logib2c/AddItemRefID/pageType.shoppingCart/externalRefID.920-002912/Locale.en_ca/quantity.1&ccp=30-7454-7454-920-002912&cl=ca,en

Now, whether or not the order will go through... we'll soon find out :)

lol so close.. yet so far.. I think it will be out soon. Not too concerned. All of logitech's products have gone to Canada anyway.

Love the review, and am very tempted. Logitech have always made great products in my experience.

Can anyone tell me if the keyboard is silent?

Hopefully Logitech will come up with a version that has illuminated keys, however I'm going stick with my grossly overpriced MS Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 for now.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm very tempted to give up ms and get this.

MS also do a great keyboard that has a low profile and is virtually silent, the Bluetooth 6000 (I think), it's curvy and Bluetooth, so the fact that it uses Bluetooth may put you off (It did for me, considering my laptop doesn't have it built in).

This one?

I've seen this in sore and checked it out a few times, nice KB but the bluetooth is off-putting and it's a pretty cramped layout!

My current MS keyboard is bluetooth and their transceivers aren't very reliable. I believe my 8000 keyboard (http://www.microsoft.com/uk/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/docs/we8k.html) is still a better choice over the Bluetooth 6000. The problem with the 8000 is the signal needs to be constantly reconnected in order to use the bluetooth capability which I use for my palm TX.

his review pushed me over the edge into buying the keyboard. It's a little less spacious than my Microsoft Desktop 3000 keyboard, but I love how silent it is and, obviously, the solar aspect. Also loving finally putting my Unifying receiver, from my Performance Mouse MX to use with another Logitech product.

I bought the keyboard and a Logitech Marathon Mouse, so hopefully my days of changing my rechargeable batteries is over! :D

PS: Hasn't gone down from 100% battery since I got it thanks to having light always in my lounge room even when I'm at work. (Y)

I don't know whether having the keyboard off means it can't charge (considering it's solar I guess it doesn't matter) but my battery is at 31% in a moderately well lit room. This is a coherent problem with the room I have here, it faces the sun in the morning, so I get little light throughout the day.

I guess during the day I'll leave my desk lamp on shining onto the keyboard so it can charge itself tomorrow.

Doesn't that go against the point of a solar keyboard? Would be way more efficient to just charge it from the mains.

It would be fine if it wasn't the fact that my room is crap for natural light.

    • Password Safe 3.72.0 by Razvan Serea Password Safe is a password database utility. Like many other such products, commercial and otherwise, it stores your passwords in an encrypted file, allowing you to remember only one password (the "safe combination"), instead of all the username/password combinations that you use. Once stored, your user names and passwords are just a few clicks away. Using Password Safe you can organize your passwords using your own customizable references—for example, by user ID, category, web site, or location. You can choose to store all your passwords in a single encrypted master password list (an encrypted password database), or use multiple databases to further organize your passwords (work and home, for example). And with its intuitive interface you will be up and running in minutes. PasswordSafe was originally designed by the renowned security technologist Bruce Schneier and released as a free utility application. Password Safe 3.72.0 changelog: Fixed bugs Improved font scale handling - should resolve font size issues on high resolution displays. GH1749 In the Master Password Setup window, "Show Master Password" is no longer truncated on some displays. GH1092, SF1595 Size and position of main window is now correctly restored on scaled displays. SF1630 Keep password expiry date when both password and password expiry are changed; don't clear a non-recurring expiry when the password's changed. SF1628 Custom values can now be copied to the clipboard in read-only mode via Ctrl-C and right-click->Copy Value. New features GH1196 Dark display mode support: Password Safe now supports the system display mode, as well as setting the mode directly via Manage->Options->Display->Display Mode. This change also updates the general "look & feel" of the app to the current Windows theme. Known limitations: The Date picker and keyboard shortcut controls do not switch to dark theme The Customize Toolbar dialog does not switch to dark theme Custom Field support has been added to the more advanced features: Filters XML and Text import and export Comparison, Sync and Merge databases SF938 Custom field values may now be selected by name and copied via a "Copy Custom Field Value..." submenu in the entry context popup menu. SF936 Notes and Custom fields layout now overlap, selectable by tabs, resulting in a more compact and less cluttered layout. • I've got a SoundBlasterX G6 that I use in my streaming setup. Sounds great to me and I've had zero issues with the ancient software package so far in Win11. That G6 has 7.1, Dolby, fully working SPDIF and since it's a USB device it's outside of my rig so I don't have to worry about EMF distortion. Looks like for now this is a pass for me as I think I have better hardware....
    • How do you connect 5.1 Speakers to this thing?
    • I agree with both of you... It's absolutely imperative that science is completely based on actual proven facts and hard evidence and is not considered dogmatic in any way. Science is not a religion and it will never be, and that's exactly how it's supposed to be.
