Nope, never even heard of it until now.

Whats it about?

Max Beesley, Philip Glenister, John Simm and Marc Warren are out of their depths in this surreal psychological thriller that will keep you on your toes.

Woody (Beesley), Quinn (Glenister), Baxter (Simm) and Rick (Warren) have been friends since sixth form. The fifth member of their gang is Alvo (Ben Chaplin, Dorian Gray), a risk-taking opportunist who, having made his fortune in property, leads a luxurious lifestyle in Majorca.

Now in their 40s, they've all taken different paths in life with varying degrees of success. When Alvo flies them to his extravagant villa to celebrate his early retirement, they enjoy a trip down memory lane.

However, all does not go to plan and they find themselves entangled in a web of deception and murder involving beautiful police women, large yachts, Speedos and a rather short assassin in a Tony Blair mask...

Continuing Sky 1 HD's dedication to homegrown high definition drama, Mad Dogs is a dark and twisted comic tale in which four ordinary guys discover how easily the line between friend and foe can be blurred.

Watched all four episodes in a row this morning. Quite enjoyed it but the ending left me feeling unsatisfied.

well...

Mad Dog fans - the wait is finally over. Mad Dogs 2 has been confirmed for early 2012 and Max Beesley, Philip Glenister, John Simm and Marc Warren will all reprise their roles.

Leftbank Pictures are once more behind the second series, filming this summer, and will once again comprise 4 hour-long episodes for transmission in early 2012 with all cast optioned for a potential third series too.

The story picks up where series one ended with Woody, Baxter and Rick driving away from the villa as Quinn has chosen to stay and make a new life in Majorca. In the opening scenes viewers will see Woody, Baxter and Rick have a change of heart and turn back - and from there it just gets crazier.

Series one proved a big success with viewers earlier this year gaining a loyal weekly audience to become the eleventh most watched programme in Sky 1?s history. And the programme has also received a BAFTA nomination for Drama Serial.

Stuart Murphy, Director of Programmes, Sky 1 HD, Sky 1, 2 & Pick TV and Director of Commissioning, Sky Entertainment commented: ?Customers loved this show so it?s great to commit to more. At Sky we work hard to bring our viewers high quality original entertainment made by the very best production companies with fantastic talent so I?m delighted we can confirm Mad Dogs? return just a few weeks after the first series has finished its run. This also marks a growing investment in British scripted content, to sit alongside our great American shows.?

Andy Harries and Suzanne Mackie return to executive produce for Leftbank Productions with James Hawes (Merlin, Doctor Who) directing scripts written again by Cris Cole.

Andy Harries commented: "Mad Dogs had such an impact that it was as obvious as a dead goat that we had to do more and all the our amazing cast felt the same."

Suzanne Mackie said: ?Before we had finished the first series of Mad Dogs we felt that there was so much more to do with these characters. I have been working with Cris Cole on the scripts ever since we finished shooting series one and the ideas for series two and three are every bit as explosive and inventive as they were at the beginning.?

    • Web search has been one of those crap ware that I try to get rid of asap. It's annoying and slow. It was a cheap way for Microsoft to drive traffic to Bing.
    • All I can say is that think the USB G8 is better in many ways, and costs the same or slightly less. I wouldn't part with mine. It's even a big improvement over the G6 USB. (You can also use studio phones (up to 600 OHMs I think) with the G8, but I have to say that even relatively cheap 30-50 OHM phones sound absolutely great--far better than through most internal motherboard sound!) Considering the difference in these products I am surprised that Creative is still making the PCIe internal card versions. https://www.headphoneer.com/cr...ve-sound-blaster-g8-review/
    • I missed this when you first posted it, but those are awesome icons! I would normally prefer things to be uniform, but each of those icons seems to fit perfectly for the game! If I may ask though, what was your thought process on which icons are circular - MK makes sense - and which ones should be rectangular or square?
    • What I like about Paint is using it almost exclusively for cropping and resizing images I get elsewhere--it's quick, easy and cheap... I keep it glued to my taskbar, in fact. Also, the clipping tool comes in handy, as well (hit print scrn on the keyboard and it activates immediately.)
    • I still remember it fondly today. It was so cool to work in 64-color Half Bright mode and 4.096-color HAM mode (interlaced) when x86 was still in 4-color CGA or 16-color EGA low res. C= never realized what it had until it was far too late--the failure of C= was the failure of its top management. The C= Amiga was 20 years ahead of its time, I always thought. It didn't hurt that in only 512k of chip memory, the Amiga could preemptively multitask when Apple was still doing gray scale graphics on tiny screens and along with everyone else was doing cooperative multitasking (running more than one app at a time in resident memory, but you could only run one of them at a time--had to manually switch between them.) I had a ball with AREXX scripting running between programs that had AREXX ports so that when you sent other applications data and instructions, those running applications could process the same in real time to output!
