Running VMware AND VirtualBox Side by Side

Question

Hi, I am currently evaluating VMware Workstation (Win7 x64 Host) and am wanting to compare it with VirtualBox. Is it a good idea to have both systems installed and running at the same time or is it like Anti-Virus software where it is recomended to only have ONE installed and running at a time? Many Thanks

No reason why you couldn't have them installed at the same time, however if I recall correctly you cannot have them both using hardware virtualization at the same time (VT-x), only one can be doing that at a time. Software though shouldn't be an issue, as long as your system has the muscle to pull it off.
