what antivirus you use? i am searching for a good one.help!

i know there will be many threads on this but i wanted to start a fresh thread .i am searching for some good antivirus since i am having problems with my avast antivirus (beta v6).please share your security tools to keep ur pc safe from viruses.

I use a combo of Comodo, Immunet, and using Sandboxie to sandbox my browser and email client.

However for a single solution I would go with BitDefender

I agree. Anyone that used Norton between 2006 and 2008 in particular knows it was unbelievably slow. They've really made the product much lighter in the last few releases. And more importantly, it actually finds and stops threats. Having tried a few others and having friends that have tried products as well, I can say that Norton is by far the best. It's never let anything through. And I would never, ever recommend McAfee or AVG. The number of computers I've seen taken down by viruses (Or a rogue AVG update) on computers that were "protected" by AVG is vast. Horrible product.

Norton is well worth the money.

Avast 5 for me. You should use a final release application for your main machine not a beta.

Also remember that it's not just about Anti Virus software. I use MalwareBytes, Spybot S&D and lavasoft ad-aware, as well as Avira Antivir as my anti virus.

i like am currently using avast,superanti spyware pro,spybot, malwarebytes(free) n windows defender(default on win7 ultimate).

i personally think mse is good but slows down pc and is slow in scanning.

avira cathes most false viruses (read some where).

should i remove avast and run my pc without any antivirus .i will just keep all other products on my pc.
