I'm currently downloading en_windows_7_professional_with_sp1_x64_dvd_621750.iso from some links I've found (not from MSDN/Microsoft). The links were published on 2/17/2011. However, I noticed that on MSDN subscriber downloads it shows the following:

File Name: en_windows_7_professional_with_sp1_x64_dvd_621750.iso

Date Published (UTC): 2/16/2011 8:49:08 AM Last Updated (UTC): 2/23/2011 1:28:40 PM

SHA1: 5ED2584110E03F498DB4458BA9FAFD5A7EF602ED ISO/CRC: 74F3CB73

What do they mean with Last Updated? Have they actually updated the image or just the description? I guess I'll have to check SHA1 and ISO/CRC for the downloaded image to see if they match.

And that is why it was updated.

That doesn't answer his question. He was asking how it's possible for the "Date Posted" to be prior to the "Date Updated" and whether that implies any change in the ISO.

I'm not sure, but I would guess that "Date Updated" refers to the actual MSDN listing, not the file in question. They probably edited the channel availability.
