Excuse me, but this VS was not meant to start an argument...

As usual, some like it, others don't. If you want to, send suggestions for improvement to me at [email protected] please. This release wasn't meant to be a major overhaul of LunaII, it was meant to have a few things changed.

Unique, if you want me to post the emails I sent to you about III i'll glady do it, I didn't simply just ask "How is the theme going"...shows how little memory you have. And this is NOT a Rip. If it was a rip, I would be taking complete credit for LunaII from M. Gartner myself. I specifically said it was by him originally, and to credit him if you redistribute it. It shows how little tolerance you have for others who are artistic and you want to have a chokehold on LunaII. If I made a brand new theme/VS, I would want to see others Modifications of it, as long as proper credit was given. You act like a little kid - "It's mine and noone else can have it!".

I spent DAYS working on this. If you do not have the time to work on LunaII, tell Gartner and let him choose someone else who will do the work and has a reasonable amount of time. I'm sure you've made some good changes and all, but apparently everyone thinks you need to work harder on it.

Otherwise, your update is still here. People can download III, II and whatever else. So what's the problem? If you want to work together like I originally suggested in the emails, please contact me at [email protected] and I will be more than willing to.

Um, yeah, when you post those emails could you send them to me? Because I honestly never got them...or perhaps they were too vague.

well done Mr. Black!

unique just sucks

thanks for the compliment...

And insult coming from anyone online, simply is a joke...and yes, that means my insults are jokes too. We all like to hide behind out monitors. Its the internet thing to do!

i was impatient about waiting for the theme but i still used it, but i refuse to use a theme by someone to talks to people the way you do. i just uninstalled luna2 and will from now on use luna2, im sick of your put downs, if you spent half as much time releasing a theme as you did thinking of ways to insult neowin members then we would be on 10.8, not 0.8.

It should also be pointed out that if you'd created your "LunaII" thread at a time where you had something to show us instead of leading us along for about a month then people wouldnt so sick of your crap. You really have ruined one of my favourite themes, not by what you've done to it but by your attitude. Poor lunaII.

The movie "Spaceballs" comes to mind whever a Neowin forum errupts: the perfect mix of humor and pointlessness seems to be synonymous, quite often.

This thread however, went from "LunaIII b1" to "LunaII: Full Contact Co-ed Nekkid Neowinian Carnage Assault." That's pretty cool... :shifty:

Hey, over there....to the right...the tissues....there you go.

As for my putting down of people...perhaps if they were patient in the beginning, and not so damn needy. I was insulted from day one...and took it off the chin for a while. Now I am sick of the bs I have to put up with. If you can't take it, simply don't dish it.

As for you uninstalling the rebornluna2, that's wonderful, that means one less person will be posting in my thread with 'update soon?' 'drop everything in your life and finish this theme for US'.

Back to the thread at hand...this is a rip. Solid straight up rip.

Don't bother. Just kill the project. We don't need your updates. Tell a moderator to kill your thread and just cancel the whole project altogether. The original Luna II is fine as it is. Just by you saying "this weekend" I'm thinking about 3 more weeks at least and it's just going to be one minor thing like maybe a pixel on the caption button. You create a thread in a popular forum talking about how you're going to update an awesome theme and then 3 weeks into the start of it, you say you're too busy and everyone should just stop posting in that thread. And you wonder why people are upset? Maybe you should just stop the theme altogether and tell everyone you're "too busy" or tell them the truth; you're just not interested anymore. You're like a kid that just got a new bike and likes showing it off but can't ride it. Hand over the theme to someone if you can't do anything with it or just end this stupid charade and call it quits. Stop making promises if you're not going to keep them.

You should truly learn to understand that I am very interested in this theme...and that I do want to finish it....but I have too much going on to focus on it. So you will all just have to wait. This is something I will be finishing...regardless of what children like yourself think.

And if I did get a new bike, I would be outside riding it right now; not showing it off...trust me.

Anyways, this isn't my thread...so see ya...

/me walks over to my thread.

FYI i have NEVER posted asking when theres gonna be an update because i realise that you will update when your ready but seriously man, if you havent got anything to release then either go and live your action packed life or work on it, dont come online and insult us for being ****ed off at your completely unprofessional behaviour. You really have no right to be modding LunaII because your a sub par theme creator with no originality, every single decision you have made was made by the people in the other thread and any attempt you made to be original i.e your numerous stomach churning start buttons resulted in pretty much unanimous bitching. I know your probably gonna reply with another "smart" comment about how little you care or how much you would approve if i died but seriously man, you suck.

I thank you all for your suggestions, and will be improving it over the Weekend and thru the middle of the week to the best of my ability. shimyrsar, thank you very much for the tip, I do and i'm sure all of the Neowinians appreciate it. I'm new to theming and just tinkered with StyleBuilder to figure out how it worked.

As for Unique, he does not care to work together apparently as I have not received emails(and I believe there was another author?) so I will continue this alone. Still, if you do have more suggestions and a few have sent some good ones to me, please keep emailing them to [email protected].

Again, I wish to remind ppl who are calling this "looks like nothing was done", I stated in my last reply on page 4 that this was meant to change MINOR things only, not a complete overhaul that is very noticeable. It's more of a tweak to LunaII. I called it LunaIII for lake of a better name.

Thank you all again who like it, and to those that don't, I hope you find something better or mod LunaII yourself to make it meet your tastes as I did.

ATTENTION THEMERES:

I could use a Startbutton image (yes, I know it looks crappy) if any wish to submit one for usage...;)

It doesn't matter if I am going to work on this with you or not, fact remains that you did not recieve permission from me to release this. And mgartner handed the theme over to me. I have sent the msn log to dazzla showing this.

Xeon and I are now working on luna2 and it will be finished and then possible I will allow mods to be released...perhaps if you had gotten my permission; or been a little more forthcoming in your emails about what you wanted, I would have allowed you to release this.

This is a rip, and an unauthorized one at that.

Looks like unique is quickly turning into binary (noooo, you can't have my preciousssss, it's mine, all mine!), except watercolor actually looks good. This one doesn't look too different from original luna. All unique did in several months was alter the start menu (can be done in about 5 minutes) and introduced tons of bugs into what used to be a completely bug-free theme. I'm not counting the caption buttons, he didn't do those.

um... seriously, if you think that was all I did, then you haven't looked hard at it. Please stop posting about my luna2 in this thread...come post in my thread if you think your argument is valid. As for the caption buttons...what are you speaking of? (Reply in the Luna2 thread.)

And binary is an amazing themer, who knows what it is like to have his hard work ripped. (I know this isn't my theme, but I am now the owner of it...and I haven't put as much work into this as binary put into his start button, but the fact remains that this is unauthorized.)

    • Microsoft Weekly: Surface Laptop Ultra, Windows 11 context menus, Build 2026 recap, and more by Taras Buria This week's news recap is here, with Microsoft announcing the new Surface Laptop Ultra, fresh chips from NVIDIA for Windows on ARM, a no-build week, fixes for Windows 11's context menus, gaming news, reviews, and more. Quick links: Windows 10 and 11 Windows Insider Program Updates are available Reviews are in Gaming news Great deals to check Windows 11 and Windows 10 Here, we talk about everything happening around Microsoft's latest operating system in the Stable channel and preview builds: new features, removed features, controversies, bugs, interesting findings, and more. And, of course, you may find a word or two about older versions. At Computex 2026, together with NVIDIA, Microsoft announced the Surface Laptop Ultra, its most powerful laptop to date, powered by NVIDIA's RTX Spark processor. Details about this computer are currently scarce, as Microsoft has only revealed certain parts of its specs. So far, we know that the computer has a 15-inch mini-LED display, a rich set of ports, a powerful processor, and all-day battery life. It also comes with a new wallpaper, which you can already download here in full resolution. The Surface Laptop Studio is not the only NVIDIA-powered Surface, which Microsoft unveiled this week. At Build 2026, the company also debuted the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, an odd-shaped desktop with a 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU and an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores with FP4 precision, connected via the NVIDIA NVLink-C2C chip-to-chip interconnect for high performance. According to Microsoft, it can run models with up to 120 billion parameters locally without relying on cloud GPU infrastructure. These two new Surface devices are likely to cost quite a lot, and for those who need a more affordable device, Microsoft is preparing the next-gen Qualcomm-powered Surface Pro and Surface Laptop. This week, details about these two devices leaked in plenty of detail. Other announcements at Build 2026 include the following: Microsoft unveils new security tools for IT admins and developers building AI products Microsoft announces Scout, an OpenClaw-powered personal agent for enterprise customers Microsoft unveils MAI-Thinking-1 reasoning and MAI-Code-1 coding models Microsoft announced a new Windows 11 native command-line utility Microsoft unveils Majorana 2 quantum chip, accelerating commercial timeline to 2029 Microsoft believes that AI agents will eventually replace apps through Project Solara Microsoft introduces Web IQ, a Bing-powered search system built for AI agents Last week, Microsoft released a new Experimental build, which introduced a major Start menu upgrade. It now lets you toggle off specific parts of the menu without affecting other features, resize the menu, and hide additional UI elements. We published a closer look here, so if you want to know what Microsoft is cooking without enrolling in the Insider program and installing unstable builds, check it out. Speaking of new features, many users are very annoyed about the way Microsoft delivers them. Recently, a frustrated user shared their experience with gradual rollouts, and even Microsoft engineers admitted there is a flaw in the system that prevents new features from applying properly. One of those new features includes the ability to uninstall AI models in Windows 11 with a single click. Windows 11 is finally getting fixes for its slow context menus. Marcus Ash from Microsoft confirmed that the company is working on fixing Windows 11's context menus. Reworked context menus are going to be faster, simpler by default, and "configurable to what you use most." According to Marcus, Microsoft will share more details soon. Windows Insider Program Windows 11 preview builds, released last week, are now available for download as standalone ISO files. These days, Microsoft regularly pushes new images, allowing users to clean-install its recent Windows 11 preview builds faster and easier. If you want to try the latest Windows 11 features without jumping through the Windows Update hoops, get those new images here. Sadly, Microsoft did not release new Windows 11 preview builds this week. Come back next time. Updates are available This section covers software, firmware, and other notable updates (released and coming soon) delivering new features, security fixes, improvements, patches, and more from Microsoft and third parties. Microsoft is preparing new features for Teams. Later this month, the messenger will receive a new download manager with auto-dismissing notifications, reducing clutter and making the overall experience less annoying when dealing with downloads. Mozilla released Firefox 151.0.3, a new bug-fixing update for the browser. It is a small release, which fixes problems with pasting into text fields and the oversized VPN button on the toolbar. The update is now available for all users in the Release channel. Here are other updates and releases you may find interesting: VS Code 1.123 introduces massive upgrades for persistent AI developer workflows Microsoft OneDrive is getting a simple yet much-needed feature Microsoft faces heat after quietly blocking promised Office features on Apple systems Microsoft resumes forced Copilot app installation on some Windows PCs Browser vendors pen an open letter to Microsoft, saying "enough is enough" Here are the latest drivers and firmware updates released this week: AMD Radeon Software 26.6.1 with optimizations for F1 25: 2026 Season, World of Tanks: HEAT, and various bug fixes. GEEKOM Air12 2026 Edition is a low-power, affordable computer with an Intel Tiger Lake Pentium Gold processor, up to 16GB of memory, and 512GB of storage, costing just $349. It is light, quiet, energy efficient, and has modern ports on the front. However, the front-facing USB Type-C is data-only, and there are some quirks with the computer's memory, so check out the full review. The AMD RX 9070 GRE has been released worldwide, and we published a benchmark review comparing this powerful graphics card to the RX 9070 XT, 7800 XT, the NVIDIA RTX 5070, and RTX 4070. It has solid, balanced performance, plenty of RAM, and low temperatures, but watch out for mediocre ray tracing performance and not the best efficiency. Also, we reviewed the Cuktech 10 Ultra, a compact, high-power charger with four ports and a big display full of various stats. This tiny charger can pull nearly 120W and spread that power according to each connected device's needs. It also comes with a high-quality 240W cable, three power modes, and retractable prongs. The best part? It is quite affordable, just make sure you have an outlet placed in the right spot to benefit from the built-in display. Do you remember the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally, Microsoft's first handheld console designed in partnership with ASUS? This week, ASUS revealed a new version of the device to celebrate twenty years of its Republic of Gamers brand. The new ROG Xbox Ally X20 features an OLED display, a transforming D-Pad, TMR sticks, and other changes. However, the chip inside the console is still the same. • Let's goooooooo! I've been loving the entries so far! I still have to finish Rebirth (things have been busy!)! Excited for this next installment.
    • "Revelation?" I was hoping for this episode to be called "Reunion". Oh, well... In a related note, the Final Fantasy VII compilation has received an EC entry, short for Ever Crisis. For those who don't know, it already had AC, BC, CC, and DC entries, short for Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus. I hope it doesn't get an FC entry becaude that would be a freakin' crisis.
    • Uh, after intense testing now, 'Samsung Browser' is not the best one outside of 'Microsoft Edge' after all. Opera Air is that. It has "some" bloat, but it's far less than what both Microsoft Edge and Brave browser have.
