there's only a few shows i like on syfy (stupid name). ashamed to admit it but I enjoy watching ghost hunters and destination truth, mainly because I have an interest in myths, ghosts etc...

You could take the budgets of a show like this Alphas (which doesn't look promising) and possibly Sanctuary to pay for making SGU episodes 3-4 times more amazing.

More or better quality special effects, more locations, etc for filming planet scenes. So much you could do with $$$ that is going into garbage like these other two shows.

Watched the pilot. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. This seems to be a pretty decent show.

Where is the real creativity in sci-fi? It's all in the novels. What would rock would be a live-action adaption to "Ghost in the Shell".
