Laptop Speaker Replacement

Is it possible to replace the laptop speakers with something better and louder than the default ones that come with the laptop? Are there companies or products out there that do just this?

Unfortunately it's not possible to replace the internal speaker, but however you can just hook up a pair of external ones to the headphone jack.

for my laptop there is, it just slides right out..

depends on which laptop it is...some, like my toshiba 1110 have nice standard sized speakers, which can easily be replaced...and you could even build a small amp for more powerful ones if you want...but some, like the new ibm thinkpads (with the speakers on the bottom) are impossible and really, who'd want to waste the time and money doing it on one of those as yu'd never hear it in that horrible speaker position anyways?

Replacing the speakers wont make the sound louder. You need a more powerful laptop or buy an external amp, which they do have for laptops.
