How do you make all new windows open maximized?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, need a little help here. I was wondering how you make all windows you open up maximized. Every time I open a window it opens up small and off the side of the screen. I know there is a way too do this but I cant remember how. By the way im running Windows Xp.

you're welcome

no,that's not possible by IE itself.people say it's lame, but it's very logical to me.IE remembers the last window size and position.if it would always maximize every window,pop-ups would became maximized.i don't mean only advert popus.there are a lot of webpages which load a new IE window which shouln't be maximized.

anyway you can still use IE New Window Maximizer, which works fine.

but i recommend to do this:

CLOSE ALL IE windows.

open up IE.don'timize it.now drag the edges all over the screen,as far as you can, window can be also out of the screen,so you dont see the edges or they're cropped out.now press alt+f4 (close).

open up IE again, and all new IE windows are now sized to maximum viewable space on your desktop.
