Yeah request a mod to merge them, or close one with comment that use the other thread.

Need to figure out how to do what you want and allow all your machines local access to each other, and then we can worry about your WOL issues.

It is possible to have multiple gateways to be used by different segments on your local network which should allow you to have clients in a segment use your pptp (vpn connection) and then route traffic between them locally. I just don't know if you can do it with dd-wrt.

To accomplish what you want you may need to use a full blown router distro as your gatway. Im dealing with some stuff with work currently, but am thinking about best solution to your problem.

The simple solution already given would be to multihome the device(s) currently using the pptp router into your other network.. Not the cleanest solution - but it would work. So they would have a interface to use when talking to 192.168.1.0/24 and then talking to anything else would use your pptp router to get to the internet through the vpn connection.
