Removing DivX Plugin from Firefox 4

Hi,

I'm not able to remove the plugins (see here ? http://cl.ly/6pgZ) from Firefox 4 on Mac. I uninstalled the DivX players and everything, but they still show up in Firefox. Any idea why?

I don't know where DivX installs the plugins by default but you can find it out pretty easily. First pull up about:config and flip plugin.expose_full_path to true then open about:plugins and see where the plugin is located.

I can't see anything from your link in FF4 or IE9. Did you try disabling or uninstalling from Firefox itself?

+macel: Did that, but it's an add-on so it's not showing up in the plugins list. about:addon just takes me to the add-ons list which I can access from Tools > Add-Ons

farmeunit: Try this link - http://d.pr/H3U5 I would try disabling or uninstalling it from Firefox 4 but those buttons don't show up as you can see in the preview.

I remember when I had Firefox 3.6, I still couldn't remove them.

about:plugins, not about:addons

Sorry, I mean to say that I tried about:plugins but it's not there. Then I tried about:addons and it just led me to the same window as Tools > Add-Ons.
