Originally it was used so people could find out details about Portal 2, but you really had to work hard to get the information.. it got as far as using old BBS systems and pulling strings and images out of audio files. It was a fun game designed by Valve to make things a bit more interesting.

This isn't the same thing, but the idea goes you figure out a username and password and once you're in you'll have to figure out ways to get deeper into the system. (type 'login' to start). On the old ARG the username was cjohnson and the password was tier3, but it's not the same on this one.

I just get a butt-load of broken HTML. Looks like the character encoding went haywire:

??<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head><title>GLaDOS v1.09 © 1982 Aperture Science, Inc.</title></head> <link href="GLaDOS.css" rel="stylesheet" /> <body> <table id="cmdbg" class="cmdbg"><tr><td><textarea id="cmdINPUT" class="cmdINPUT"></textarea> <font id="cmdTITLE" class="cmd">></font><font class="cmdTXT" id="cmdTXT"> </font><font class="blink">?%</font> </td></tr></table> <script type="text/javascript" src="GLaDOS.js"></script> </body> </html>
