I just hope the second half of this season isn't as crappy as the first half. I've come to the point where I wouldn't care if it got canceled even it has been so bad. I miss the thrill of the first two seasons. Second three was okay, but it has been going downhill since the end of season two.

Another great episode. It was very easy to spot the observer this time. It seems a little weird that the two sides are finally starting to trust one another.

I was surprised to see Nina Sharp working with David Robert Jones. I wonder why she's working against the two universes. I hope she's a double agent or something.

My money is that she's one of the 40-ish successful shape-shifters

You might be right. If that's true then it seems like this universe is in a much worse shape than the previous one. The degradation may have been stopped but the shape-shifters are out in full force. We know that Colonel Broyles from the alternate universe is a shape-shifter. Nina Sharp could be one as well. And the Brandon Fayette from the alternate universe was replaced. It's possible that people have been replaced in the main universe as well.

I'm loving the show and the multiple Universes. I wish they'd deviate more from the mythology though and get to some weird cases again.

The next episode, titled "Forced Perspective", should be unrelated to the show's mythology.

The way they were talking it sounds like the guy was reporting to her. How could she be a shape shifter if hes reporting to her?

He might not be the one in charge, or her, knowing Fringe it's probably someone we haven't seen yet.

I wonder what they gave Olivia. Also, I thought her headache would be a one-time thing.

I doubt it. I theorize that as long as the drug is in her system, she will always have a headache. Headache must cause something...maybe a rift?

Maybe the headaches were a way for Nina to give Olivia the "new drug" with her consent. That way they don't have sneak around to dose her.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
